题目分析：

大容易想到的重要性是respect，准时是对对方的一种尊重。从另外一个方面讲，准时也是对自己形象的塑造。因此，我们分别从这两个大的角度给予说明。当然也不能忘记要有届时或者举例等细节去支持这两个观点，使答案言之有理，言之有物。

What’s the importance of being punctual?

Obviously, it’s significant and essential for everyone. Here are the points.

First of all, being punctual is a sign of respect. It’s an important courtesy for being on time means you care. For example, if you are late for a job interview, there would some trouble and you might turn around and go home.

Besides, being punctual tells a person’s character. It lets us know what the person is like. I mean, is he responsible and mature or not. Being late makes a bad impression and it wastes other people’s time as well.

Anyway, we must be punctual for every appointment and date. Always leave early for your dates or whatever and give yourself plenty of time . Show your respect to others and I’m sure they will return the favor in kind.

一道典型的对比题目，是“老少”之间对比。与之类似的“男女”和“古今”的对比是口语三个部分的必考问题，希望考生引起重视。在答案中，要分别阐述两类人不同的观点以及例证。

What’s the different opinion about being punctual comparing the elderly people with young people?

Due to the fact that people are in different age, they would not have the same view about one subject.

Generally speaking, the senior citizens in China take this issue seriously and would not likely to be late as they usually have a healthy lifestyle after retiring. They sleep less and don’t prefer to stay at home. So, normally, there will be enough time for them to go for the appointments or dates.

But the young people are probably not in the same situation. Most of them don’t value it because they get accustomed to put off. Procrastination is a real big problem to face. That means they are not good at time management. So sometimes they also don’t like to be late for the appointments but they don’t have too much choices.
