In 2000, oil price was slightly higher than food price.
Over 6-years later, there was a dramatic increase of oil price.
The index of price rose by 36 points at the same period.
After the trough in 2009, food price indicate an abrupt increase in 2021.
The average oil price came to about $72 in the middle of 2006.
The food price index arrived at approximately 240 points.
This is the lowest figures throughout the period as a whole.
In 2000, oil price was slightly higher than food price.
In 2000, THE oil price was slightly higher than THE food price.
Over 6-years later, there was a dramatic increase of oil price.
Over THE FOLLOWING 6 years, there was a dramatic increase IN THE oil price.
Over...later不能搭配，要么是Over the X years，要么是X years later。an increase in sth表示增长的方面，an increase of sth表示增长的数额或者差额。
an increase in spending
an increase of 2p in the pound on income tax
an increase of nearly 20% 近 20% 的增长
The index of price rose by 36 points at the same period.
The FOOD PRICE index rose by 36 points DURING the same period.
如果出现在the/an index of sth是，表示指标，例如：
The number of new houses being built is a good index of a country's prosperity.
After the trough in 2009, food price indicate an abrupt increase in 2021.
After FALLING in 2009, food PRICES INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY in 2021.
The average oil price came to about $72 in the middle of 2006.
The average oil price in the middle of 2006 WAS ABOUT $72 PER BARREL.
come to不用在价格上。
The food price index arrived at approximately 240 points.
The food price index REACHED approximately 240 points.
arrive at/come to 不和数字搭配。
This is the lowest figures throughout the period as a whole.
THESE WERE the lowest figures SHOWN ON THE GRAPH.
throughout the period as a whole没有语法错误，但肯定不如shown on the graph严谨，因为我们所描述的图标，图标上的数据很有可能是编造的，并不一定是当时(the period)的真实情况。
