雅思写作中，不少同学头痛的问题都是，复杂句不会写，句子写得不够长。结果就是，由于过度追求华丽和长度，学生们写出来的文章通篇都是三四行的长句（也是醉了，重点是加上凌乱的语法，小安老师经常是看得云里雾里啊～）。文章非但没有达到想要的效果，反而让人摸不清重点，读不懂逻辑。这里小安老师想和大强调一点，就像我们学习要劳逸结合一样，句子也需要长短结合，富有韵律～尤其是观点句，一定要简短精炼，简洁有力。想考官如此大的阅卷量，如果连观点句都要分解四五行的长句才能读懂，那不是太悲催了么？今天规划师王祁老师为各位雅思考生带来 技能之简洁短句如何写？

如何做到 简短有力呢，就是需要大把句子中的赘余部分和不必要的词句都删减掉。这就是中英文之间差异的体现喽，中文我们甚至可以通过重复表达来表示强调增强语势，而英文的习惯写法就是不啰嗦～看过来，下面的句子在学生习作中经常见到哦：

1）In this essay, I want to write about the different opinions that different people hold about demolishing old buildings in urban areas.
(去掉赘余词汇，其实要表达的意思就是： People hold different opinions about demolishing old buildings in urban areas.)

2) In their opinion, they think that motorized flight has greatly changed and improved our life in a surprising way.
(省略不必要的词汇：In their opinion, motorized flight has greatly improved our life.)

3) With regard to the fact that our environment is polluted, members of government should draft and consequently enact laws that prohibit pollution in our nation.
(言简意赅：Our environment is polluted, therefore the government should pass laws prohibiting pollution.)

当然了，对于语言能力差的考生，他们犯愁的就是字数，总认为这样可以尽快凑够字数，却不知反而起到了反作用。因此，文章中我们不得不忍痛割爱，舍掉一些诸如I think, I believe, in my view, from my point of view等的词。而有些考生会可以背诵一些所谓的高词汇，偶尔出现会让人眼前一亮，但是通篇贯穿貌似就容易让人感觉有点咬文嚼字～来看下面小安老师帮大总结的一些累赘替换词：

再看看下面的例子，有考生误认为提高句子质量就是多用从句，复杂句：

1) The girl that you saw the day before who was wearing a yellow coat and who had straight hair is my sister.
2) I had an exciting journey to the city of Shanghai which is my favorite city.

请大始终记住，简洁是 的一大原则。有时我们可以灵活运用分词短语、不定式短语、介词短语或形容词短语将从句简化成短语，这不失为一种好的表达。它既可以让句式变的丰富，还能用少的词汇表达精确的信息。来看：

1) If she had been born in the new society, she would have developed into a great scientist.
2) He was so weak that he couldn’t even stand up.
3) She was frightened when she saw a lion staring at her.
4) As she was not satisfied with this, she tried to think of a better solution.

来看怎么变为短语形式来组合句子：

1) Born in the new society, she would have developed into a great artist.
2) He was too weak to stand up.
3) She was frightened at the sight of a lion staring at her.
4) Being not satisfied with this, she tried to think of a better solution. 再来看看分词的特殊用法之一，立主格形式吧～谈到语法名词又有学生头大啦，就简单理解成分词的特殊形式就好了，只要计划证主语一致就能使用。如：

1) The weather being fine, a large number of people went to the garden for picnic.
2)Africa is the sneaking largest continent, its size being about three times that of China.

另外，学会把简单句的叠加转化为并列句(compound sentence)，复杂句(complex sentence)或平行结构(paralleli*)。例如：

1) Her parents didn’t have enough money to support her education. She did several part-time jobs to earn her tuition fees.
Her parents did not have enough money to support her education, therefore she did several part-time jobs to earn her tuition fees.

2) Some people think that learning with a qualified teacher is the best way to acquire knowledge. Others believe that learning from other sources are better.
