雅思写作技巧之该如何拓展句子

的老师发现，很多学生一直苦恼着为什么就是写不出吸引人的长句子来，是单词量不够？是语法不好？如何更好地额掌握雅思写作技巧？其实关键在于没有掌握扩充句子的方法。正如树干上长出的花朵和枝叶一样，拓展句子就是在主干句的基础上添加定语、状语、同位语、插入语等连带成分，甚至可以增加一些细节内容（比如增加例子）等等，使句子的意思更具体、更形象。

下面的老师给大举个例子。

如果我要写“她笑得很甜”，有些同学就会很简单写成：

The girl *iles sweetly. 其实把它扩充很容易，请各位看官往下看：

1 There is a sweet *ile on the girl’s face.
2 There is a sweet *ile on the girl’s beautiful and young face.
3 There is a sweet *ile appearing on the girl’s beautiful and young face.
4 There is a sweet *ile, like bright sunshine, appearing on the girl’s beautiful and young face.
这样一个由3个单词组成的句子就变成了一个相对较长的句子了。

这里说一下简单的常用的扩展句子的3种：

1 添加形容词和副词
The crime rate is increasing.

-- Obviously, the crime rate is increasing drastically.

2 添加短语（介词短语，非谓语动词）
--Obviously, the crime rate in the metropolis is increasing drastically, influenced by a growing number of migrant workers flooding into urban area.

3 添加从句
Some magazines and newspapers are full with the photos and articles detailing the new girlfriends or boyfriends of celebrities.

--In fact, some magazines and newspapers are full with the photos and articles detailing the new girlfriends or boyfriends of celebrities, which contributes to the disturbing mindset that marriage is no longer as important and sacred as before.
