地图演进类，解读雅思小作文之难题

地图演进类，顾名思义，随着时间的变化，图中的事物如建筑物、树木等，也会有相应的变化。这就需要考生仔细阅读图中的信息，以时间轴为标志，进行描述。

以以下这题为例：

Chorleywood is a village near London whose population has increased steadily since the middle of the nineteenth century. The map below shows the development of the village. 先审题，图中有四个时间段，而针对于不同的时间段，铁路、公路、村庄也渐渐建立起来。考生在小作文中，应该以时间顺序引全文，注意时态一定是使用过去时。

The map demonstrates in 4 steps the development of Chorleywood, a village near London, between 1868 and 1994.
In the first 15 years, the village was located on the east of a main road. It covered only a *all area. There was another main road to the north of it.
The first major development of Chorleywood took place between 1883 and 1922. It expanded southward along the east of the main road by about 3 times. This might have been the result of the construction of a railway in 1909. The railway ran across the new area of the village linking east and west.
The expansion went on throughout the following 48 years. Two new areas came into being on the south of the railway. One of them was on the east of the village and the other on the west of the main road.
The fourth period, from 1970 to 1994, began with the building of a northbound motorway to the east of Chorleywood. Five new areas appeared scattering on the empty lands around the intersection of the motorway with the main road and that with the railway.
Thus, the map illustrates how the village of Chorleywood developed with the construction of transportation.
