雅思写作五个不难却拿分的词组

雅思写作中有三个词组，一个是 in terms of （在……方面），另一个是 regardless of （不管……），还有一个是 for the sake of （为了改善……），是考官范文里使用特别频繁的加分词组，但是中国考生很少去主动使用，不能不说是大的遗憾。

另外还有一堆词组，一个是 on the one hand ，另一个是 on the other hand ，虽然我们每天都在使用，但往往是在错误地使用。

请大仔细体会下面的例句：

On the one hand, moving large companies to the countryside may reduce the tax revenue of the city government. On the other hand, this measure can effectively relieve the pressure on the city transportation system.

通过这两句话，考生一定要明确： On the one hand,...On the other hand ， ... 之间是对比关系，一定不要把这一对词组后面跟的两个句子写成都是支持或者都是反对某一观点。的朗文词典也明确告诉我们，它们后面跟的应该是对比的观点才符合英文的习惯。这就是很多同学在主体段中常犯的一个经典错误。

至于 in terms of ，雅思考官对这个词组真是情有钟，比如这个考官范文中的例句：

These children are often spoilt, not in terms of love and attention because working parents do not have time for this, but in more material ways.

再看一个例句：

High-quality nursery schools could be established that would support families in terms of raising the next generation.

in terms of 可以帮我们来限定某一观点的适用范围，因此特别能体现出思维的严密性，各位要多多关注。

说到 regardless of ，它的中文意思和 no matter 差不多。但 regardless of 的用法其实更加灵活，它的后面可以加名次、动名词或者从句，而 no matter 后面则只能加从句。

例如：

They are allowed to have whatever they want, regardless of price, and to behave as they please.

说到 for the sake of ，有些同学误以为它完全等同于 because of ，其实这是一种误解，它的意思更接近于英文的 for the purpose of helping/improving...

这 5 个词组，无论从使用频率还是使用效果都对经典，但是考生们却长期忽视。真的是到了我们该好好关注这 5 个词组的时候了。
