例1：“So you should try to take after peanuts,” Daddy continued, “because they are useful though not grand or nice-looking.”

例2：He takes after his mother/his mother’s side of the family.

译：他像他母亲／他母亲的人。

例：I wasn’t sure about Sarah at first, but I warmed to her after we’d been out together a few times.
