雅思大作文：噪音污染

Some people think that the amount of noise people make should be controlled strictly, while others say that people are free to make as much noise as they wish, discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people claim that strict restriction should be applied to noise control whereas the opposite view says that people have the freedom to make noise. I personally think that the control needs to be reasonably strict and it is definitely wrong to let people make noise without caring for others.

Noise pollution has imposed a serious threat on people’s health and life these days, thus controlling noise-makers in a strict way is for everyone’s well-being. Long-lasting noise not only stops people from having a good rest but also interferes people’s efficiency at work and study. In a noisy environment, people’s anxiety level is rather high and they cannot concentrate. Having a bad sleep due to late-night noise is likely to cause fatigue the next day. We now living in a society that is full of all sorts of noise sources, so making the rules strict is necessary in this respect.

However, form another perspective, noise makers may have a good reason for their needs. For instance, at a construction site, if the workers could operate the machines day and night, they would finish their work soon and get paid early. At a birthday party, the loud music amuses all guests and everyone can have a thrilling time at the event.

In my opinion, we need rules to reduce the amount of noise that is excessively over the legal limits. On the other hand. It is impossible to live in a completely quiet and modern society, so the rules must be reasonable. As to all noise-makers, they certainly have the freedom to make some sounds that are fun or beneficial to themselves although the behavior may be unpleasant to others. Of course, they should not enjoy such kind of freedom at the cost of others’ well-being.
