Many young people in the workforce today change their jobs or careers every few years.

What do you think are the reasons for this?

Nowadays, young people tend to change their jobs frequently. Several factors contribute to the phenomenon and I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

Young people change their jobs for many reasons. Some young employees work in different kinds of companies to accumulate experience and build up social network. In this way, they can have an advantage position in the job market and can find highly-paid jobs more easily than others. Another reason is that many young generations are keen on taking adventure and challenging themselves. Unlike older generations who are conservative and content with where they are, young people conservative and content with where they are, young people nowadays are more willing to break the status quo. Apart from that, it is not uncommon that some young employees lack vision and blindly pursue well-paid jobs that are not suitable for them.

The frequent change of jobs have advantages. Being exposed to various fields, young people can broaden their experience and acquire new skills.
