Your neighbours have a dog that is noisy at night. You can’t sleep. Write a letter to your neighbours. In your letter:

describe the problem with the dog
explain why it is important for you to sleep
outline what your neighbours could do about the situation.

Dear Mr Brown and Mrs Brown ,

I am writing to you to bring to your attention a problem that i have been having with your dog at night.

我写信给你是为了引起你的注意一个问题，我一直与你的狗在晚上。

As you may already be aware of, your dog started making *all detours at night around the neighborhood, digging holes in the gardens and often making loud noises. I was awoken by your dog’s barks several times lately, and I had even consult a doctor and had been prescribed some sleeping pills.

你可能已经注意到了，你的狗开始在晚上绕着邻居家走一些小弯路，在花园里挖洞，经常发出很大的噪音。我最近好几次被你的狗叫吵醒了，我甚至去看了医生，还开了安眠药。

This wouldn’t have been as big of a problem for me if I wasn’t in the middle of my exams, but since I am, it is crucial for me to take good rest and sleep during the right hours; I have morning exams to wake up to.

这对我来说不是一个大问题，如果我不在考试当中，但既然我在考试，在适当的时间休息和睡觉对我来说是至关重要的;我早上要去参加考试。

I will therefore be grateful if you could have your dog looked after by another member of your family away from this neighborhood, even if only until my exams are over, which will be in about three weeks time.
