Mainly museums and historical sites are visited by tourist not local people. Discuss the reasons and give a solution to this problem.

It is certainly true that historical sites are attractive all tourists, while only few locals visit their local attraction. The interest of museums and historical places is very low in local people. However, some people discuss this point and consider that why only a few native people visit their historical sites and what measures should be done for encouraging locals to visit these sites.

There are many reasons behind this. First and foremost, most locals have been growing up in their area and have been studying all historic sites for a long time and do not want to visit local museums and historical places anymore. Locals already visited their attractions many times and do not interest or curious anymore unlike tourists. The familiarity of locals is a main reason of ignoring all their attractions. As a result, the number of local visits their museum is very low among. What is more, some people think that travelling to other feature places is more challenging and exciting than visiting nearer places. They prefer to commute far away for exploring new things which is much different that their areas. All of these reasons support the point that why native people ignore their attractions and have more interested in other far away sites.

Several measures can be taken to appeal native people to visit their local attraction. Firstly, promoting and introducing local museums in the media will be a good way for encouraging. When locals watch TV commercials about their local attractions, they will be more interested in those places and want to visit. Secondly, offering some free tickets or discount for native people is another measure to stimulate people. It not only can increase a number of native people visit historical sites but it also can boost economy of a community. Moreover, if a museum can create new exhibitions every season, it will present local people from getting bored after visiting for many times.

In conclusion, the familiarity of locals with their own culture and environment makes it difficult to promote and attract many native to visit their local museums. However, with some promotions and creating new exhibition, the number of people visit their historical sites will increase eventually.
