2021-11-07 : Task 1

You were invited to go out by your friend. Due to some reason you couldn’t go. Write a letter apologizing for this and suggest a new time and place to meet.

In your letter, you should say:

apologies
explain what reasons you can’t make it
suggest a new time and place to meet.

Dear Sania,

Hope you are good! It was really nice to hear from you after long run.

I felt disheartened since I remained unable to attend the dinner party in Chandigarh arranged for you. To be very honest, I was so excited to meet you after ages and planned a lot for the meeting, but all the plans went in vain. I am extremely sorry for my absence.

Actually, on that day, all of a sudden my grandfather got heart attack.Owing to this, I was out of sorts and took him to the hospital instantly. Fortunately, we reached on time and saved his life but in all these I forgot to make you call that I would not reach.

I hope you will understand my condition, for it was literally an unavoidable circumstance. Since you are in India for next month also , I have been thinking to invite you for supper at my home. I believe it would prove to be an appropriate destination for both of us to spend quality time.

I would like to say you sorry once again.
