You had just missed a friend’s party, write a letter to apology.

In your letter, you should:

apology to your friend
explain why you couldn’t attend the party
say what steps you will take to avoid in future.

Dear Preetam,

I am writing this letter because I am not attending to your birthday party unfortunatily, I got emergency call my home town. I have shocked that new because my grandfather admitted in hospital for the reason heart attack, so I am not attending to you this party occasion, In my absence you enjoy the party with your family and other friends. I am so sorry that I missed your party, I am already special plan your bithday and purchased unique gift for you but the last moment emergency come and change my mind. I am really sorry I not inform you, I saw the picture facebook, instagram and video you looking nice on your birthday. I would like inform you my grandfather he is recovered and back to home. during days I was very busy in hospital.

Hope you understand this situation. I promise to you not again repeat in future if any problem this similar situation again I will inform you.
