The streets where you live has recently become rather dirty write a letter to your local council.

In your letter, you should tell:

what caused this problem
what problems local people facing due to this
what actions council should take.

Dear City Council,
I am writing this letter in reference to complain about heaps of garbage found on my street.I would like to explain to you that this has become a recent issue due to non-collection of garbage and cleaning of streets by contract cleaning staff. this staff is employed by the city council as part of clean city drive however due to a recent dispute on salaries and benefits the contract staff has gone on indefinite strike.

Due to this issue, there is always a foul *ell on the street which is very irritating and has made our living in this area very difficult. It has also made walking on the street difficult as you can notice piles of garbage waste accumulating on the roadside.

I would like to suggest at this stage to the city council to send their permanent cleaning staff to our locality for a cleaning drive regularly till the contract staff concerns have been addressed as it will help to resolve our immediate concerns.
