With the increasing demand for energy sources of oil and gas, people should look for sources of oil and gas in remote and untouched places. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of damaging such places?

Beset by the issue of energy scarcity, people now tend to search for fossil fuels in untapped regions; otherwise, they may be confronted with a sluggish economic growth. Therefore, I personally regard such an approach as reasonable and feasible.

Admittedly, such practice may trigger several repercussions on the natural environment. The most conspicuous one is that it may pose a threat to the local wildlife. This is mainly because an enormous number of industrial facilities will be in use during the process of tapping those remote regions, which may be very likely to wreak havoc on the natural habitats, impacting the air and soil quality and thus rendering the wild animals in jeopardy.// However, behind those problems are a silver lining, which indicates that such hazards can be avoided as long as strict regulation and law about energy exploitation are implemented.

In contrast, the lack of feasible approaches to energy scarcity will undoubtedly bring both economic growth and technology advancement to a standstill.// For another, the locals in remote areas can also be benefitted, as such a policy must provide them with more job opportunities, by which their life quality will be bettered.
