念GCSE：
1）你的数理化成绩会非常好， 这样就会有足够的经历去学一些文史类科目，比如历史，地理，和一些在中国学不到的科目，比如，哲学，商学，心理学，甚至另一门外语。（通常私立学校的学生会考10门科目）
2）你有足够的时间提高你的英语（考试，鉴赏）水平，最主要的是体会并收益于真正的英国教育体制。
3）如果你的大学目标是牛剑，GCSE课程会大大开阔你的眼界， 增加你面试成功的机会。

念Pre-ALevel：

正规的私立中学并不提供pre-Alevel，你可能只能在一些国际学生"扎堆"的国际班念。

念ALevel：

1） 读ALevel，大部分学校都要求16周岁以上
2）英国大学要用AS（Year12）成绩去申请 （参考A2预测分）。比如你今年9月份上Year12, 明年10月份，你就要开始申请大学，提交的成绩就是你的Year 12 成绩和学校给你预测的A2成绩。牛剑申请在10月中旬结束。
3）ALevel只要求3门成绩，通常中国学生都选数理化，因为这些科目对英文要求低一些，容易考出好成绩。如果没上GCSE,你就失去了学文史类科目的机会。数理化在哪国学，正确答案都只有一个，但文史类会教给你一个完全不同的思考方式和价值观。

所以如果你目标远大，当前成绩优秀 （雅思4.5已经非常好），经济条件允许，先念GCSE。

这是雅思官方消息：雅思机考2021年上线已成定局，时间大概在明年6月。机考实行后，听力、阅读和写作部分将在计算机上答题，口语部分仍将采用与考官面对面的形式进行。雅思机考的评分标准也是采用9分作为满分标准，评分细则和笔试没有变化。在评分方面，雅思考试的一些部分如口语等，仍然会使用人工判分的方式。从各个单项来讲：
1.雅思阅读：
雅思机考以后，现有做阅读题的方法会受到一定程度影响，无法再划关键词，段落的标记也不方便标明。
2.雅思听力：
新托福的听力是先听完才可以看题的，答完题后不可再更改。如果雅思机考与托福形式一致，那就等于变相提高了听力的难度。因为现在不少学生都是拿到纸考雅思题，先利用时间预读再考。因此听力的高分相对容易。机考后，学生在无法预读题目的情况下答题，高分就更难拿到了。另外，答题后不可再更改，也相当于提高了出错率。
3.雅思写作：
作文要手打啦!对于英文打字障碍者们可能是要哭瞎了，但是对于字迹丑陋，打得比写得快的童鞋们来说可是赚到了啊!如果最终使用机器判分，例如和托福一样采用类似的电脑判分软件进行判分，很多学生习惯使用模板写作，就是自寻死路。因为写作判分器一般是建立在大量的语科库基础上，绝对会包括常见的模板和套句。这种情况再用模板，基本就fail掉了。以后的写作将更强调英语逻辑思维能力，这对学生能力也是一个很大的考验。
4.雅思口语还是沿用*人工考试，影响不大，烤鸭们可以放心了。
本次机考的变革从实际意义上，雅思对考生的语言使用能力要求越来越高。它是对对已有的雅思培训、学习方法是一次大大的冲击。对于很多同学来说，的确增加了实际考试的难度。因此，提早开始准备是非常必须。只有切实提高实际的英语能力，才能在愈发激烈的考场上无往不利。
