虽然雅思考了6分没到大多数求职和留学要求的6.5分，但也比四六级含金量高很多了，而且雅思考试是国际标准的英语考试，考的是英语的应用能力，还有口语，6分的口语成绩也是绝大多数国内考生不太容易达到的水平，和国内英语考试有根本方向的不同，很多考过研究生，六级500+的人也不是随随便便能考到6分的。这个成绩应该得到肯定，无论是工作面试还是研究生面试。
雅思6分大致相当于英语六级450分左右的水平，意味着普通英语交流无障碍。它是澳大利亚的移民分数线，以及英国的留学分数线，这个程度的英文，虽然会经常性的出现一些问题，但是所表达的意思是能让人理解的。
