The tuition fee for the academic year 2021–2021 is $49,550. This tuition fee includes health care services under Yale Health, but does not include the hospitalization insurance fee. The Corporation of Yale University reserves the right to revise tuition rates as necessary.

An annual fee of $1,150 is charged to the Student Financial Services bill for use of the School of Architecture’s shops, computers, printers, and other equipment furnished by the School. This mandatory fee applies to all students and is refundable only upon withdrawal from the School.

Our financial aid awards for 2021-2021 are based on a budget of tuition and fees plus allowances for living expenses, books, etc. These budgets reflect our estimate of the cost of a moderate style of living in New Haven for the nine-month academic year.

Room, Board, and Personal Expenses

This allocation represents a reasonable student expense for housing, utilities, food and other personal expenses. It is the same for all students whether they live on-campus or off-campus.

Travel

An additional allocation will be made to the cost-of-attendance to account for travel costs from the student's permanent home address (as reported on FAAST and/or FAFSA) to New Haven based on a universal asses*ent of average travel costs on a state by state or by country basis.

Health Services Coverage

Mandatory fees include membership in the Yale Health Plan (YHP), a comprehensive pre-paid group practice plan. In addition, students who are not enrolled in a hospitalization plan must obtain hospitalization coverage either through the University or another source. For 2021-2021, Yale Health Plan membership fees are set at $2,332 for single students, $8,674 for two party coverage and $14,554 for family coverage. The cost of single student coverage is automatically added to the basic budget for all students. If a student obtains outside insurance and waives this coverage, this expense will be removed from the student’s bill. If a student has dependents and will be enrolling in the two-person or family coverage plan, a Budget Revision form (with documentation of enrollment) must be completed and submitted to the Financial Aid Office for a budget adjustment (available at our website in the ‘Forms’ section for download). Additional financial aid for this expense is available in the form of a student loan.

Children

For students with dependent children, an allowance of $8,000 for each child is added to the applicable budget.

Extraordinary Expenses

Adjustments to the basic budget may be made in the event of extraordinary expenses and special needs (e.g., extraordinary medical expenses). Please note that any additional borrowing for extraordinary expenses are not COAP eligible. Additional financial assistance resulting from such an adjustment will be available in the form of a loan. Students are encouraged to discuss their individual situations with the Financial Aid Office, which is committed to being as responsive and flexible as possible.

Expenses Not Included

Moving expenses, prior debt, credit card debt and costs associated with automobiles will not be considered part of student budgets in determining eligibility for financial aid.

前后期需要准备多少钱？

1.留学前费用

在美国留学，前期的申请费用是必不可少的，从决定要出国留学开始，便会产生各种各样的留学费用。

学校申请费

美国不同的学校申请的费用各不相同，收费区间在200-1000人民币，每申请一所学校，就需要缴纳一次申请费用。

材料翻译和公证费

不少申请材料需要翻译件并得到公证处的公证，这笔费用根据材料的多少来决定，不过一般都不会太贵，总共的费用在几百人民币。

语言考试费用

去美国留学硕士要参加几个比较重要的考试，考试一次的申请和总费用在2000元左右。

留学签证费用

成功申请留学后，签证的办理费用也不便宜，办理签证的总费用在2500人民币左右。办理签证前必须有护照，护照的办理费用一次200元。

机票费用

2.留学学费

在美国留学硕士收费不便宜，主要是根据专业的不同来设置学费的收取。文科类专答判业收费一年在12-25万元，理科类专业收费在15-30万元，像医学、商学专业的收费在30万元以上，还有一些比较难申请的专业，收费也比较高。

1.生活费

美国城市可按消费指数分为四级，一级城市诸如纽约、费城、洛杉矶、旧金山、芝加哥、波士顿等地区的生活费用大约在$10000-20000/每年，二级城市如西雅图、亚特兰大、底特律等生活费用在$8000-10000/每年，南部、中西部等三级城市每年的生活费用约在$8000-10000/每年，俄克拉荷马州、密苏里州等四级城市费用约在$4500-6000/每年。

2.伙食

美国超市东西价格较为适中，可以去香港超市或者99大华。一般大学餐厅的午餐价格大约在4到8美元（月均约花费$360-720）；而美国小快餐店一顿午餐需花费5到8美金，环境较好的餐厅每顿约花费15-50美金。事实上，不少中国留学生会选择自己做饭，美国蔬菜的价格较贵，肉价适中，但牛肉价格较高，约2.3磅/kg。

3.交通

对于像纽约这样的大城市来说，公共交通十分发达，地铁月票为81美元，一日无限次乘车票价为7.5美元，一周内无限次乘车票价25美元，*7美元以上赠送15%。在芝加哥，公共汽车和地铁票价实行单一票价，均为1.5美元，两个小时内第一次换乘仅付0.3美元，第二次换乘免费拿慎。除一些发达城市外，大多数美国人都选择驾车出行，便宜的二手车只需1000多美元。

4.租房

在美国华人居多的城市，两人住的单人房约在$400-800/月之间，一房一厅的价格约在$900-1200左右，两房一厅的费用约在$1200-1500。

5.医疗

一般来说，美国的高校都有留学生保险制度，留学生可以在入学的时候购*医疗保险，基本保险费一般在每年300-600美元不等。另外，在入学时购*意外保险十分重要，保费较低也可应对突发状况。

6.学杂费

学杂费是美国留学费用中最大部分的支出，不同性质、不同地区、不同排名的学校学费差异较大。由于中国留学生是“非定居”型学生，因此收费较一般学生来说偏高，一般入读美国私立走读高中的费用一般在$20000—40000的范围内，而寄宿学生需花费$45000—55000左右。

另外，美国大学费用根据学校性质不同、地域不同、专业不同学费差距很大，一般来说在20000—50000美元/年之间。在美国读硕士一个学分约为$600—1000，而读博士一般均可拿到全奖或者半奖，在准备美国留学费用时50万—75万人民币较为合适。
