1、时间
雅思写作要求考生在一个小时之内完成一篇至少150个单词的说明文或信件（20分钟）和一篇至少250个单词的议论文（40分钟）。考生需合理安排时间。
2、字数

1.时间很紧张
不要以为熬过了雅思听力和阅读就可以放慢节奏了，雅思写作考试只有一个小时的时间，大家要在限定时间内完成2篇作文，虽然写作的字数要求不高，小作文150字，大作文250字，但其实大家实际写作字数要超这个数字，而且还要在考试中构思，列提纲，写正文，通篇检查。一些同学初次参加雅思写作考试的时候不知道时间很紧张，慢慢悠悠地构思、列提纲、写作，结果大作文写到一半时间就快用完了，瞬间慌了神……所以雅思写作考试中一定要把握好时间！把握好时间是雅思写作拿到高分的关键一步。

二、雅思小作文的写作步骤
1. 正确转述题目
转述题目是最最简单以及最实际的开始小作文的方法。
在作文开头的一句话里，考生唯一的目标应该是：避免犯错误。
这件事虽然显得很简单，许多学生还是在写转述题目的句子时会犯两个、三个或更多错误。那会给考官留下不好的影响。他从看你写的第一句话开始，就在心里把那篇作文归类于6分以下的。
2. 正确转述图表的词语
绝大部分考雅思的中文母语人都不太能正确地描述在图表中出现的单词的实际意思。在他们应该写类似这样的句子时- The number of people who went to bed after 1am increased by 5% in 2023. （在凌晨1点钟以后睡觉的人数在2023年增加了5%）他们写的却是类似这样没有意义的句子-After 1 am increased by 5%. （1点以后增加5%）。

学生会学会如何用英语表达类似这样的意思： “在那个城市每天开车上下班的人稍微多于坐地铁的”，或者 “在那个国家喜欢在家里吃饭的人比在外面吃的多很多”。
5. 撰写概述
没有合适概述的作文很难拿到6分以上的分数，那是因为根据雅思评分表的规定：没有概述，或者概述不充分的作文的TA（写作任务完成情况）分数限定为5分以下。那就意味着，ta要是想拿到6分的话，概述不充分的学生就必须在评分的另外一个方面拿到7分，才可能获得总分6分。不少学生直到自己考试的时候，都还不一定搞清楚到底什么样才算是合适的概述。
