2020年5-8月 雅思口语 Part 2 Topic 1&2：未来不想做的工作&教你重要道理的人

Recently, I feel worried about what I should do in the future since I am about to （正打算、正准备） graduate from university. My dad gave me some advice last week when we had a family dinner. He advised I should choose some kind of stable and easy job, such as a bank employee or a civil servant （公务员） which doesn’t require that I travel for business.

He works in an internet technology company as a supervisor. Because of his work, he often has to travel to many places in China by air for business. He told me that when he was on a business trip, there is no spare time for him to go sightseeing because he often has to work overtime. Also, he is so exhausted by the constant business travels that he wants a break. The important and frequent business trips make it impossible for him to care about our family because he has to sleep in hotels for almost half of the year.

I learned a lot after this conversation. I used to find the idea of a sedentary （久坐不动的） job boring. Only busy work can improve one’s working ability and communication skills. But as I get older, too much work could become a heavy burden in my life. A simple and ordinary life may lead to a happier life. So, I decided to find a stable job which doesn’t require me to travel.

我很快就要毕业了，对于工以后作或者学习的方向感到很烦恼，大概上周家庭聚餐的时候，我爸爸给了我一 些建议。他希望我选择稳定轻松一些的工作，比如银行或者公务员。不要选择需要经常四处奔波的工作。

我爸爸在一家互联网科技公司当主管。由于工作原因，他经常到中国各地出差。起初，我认为出差会很有趣， 因为我可以顺便去很多地方。但是爸爸告诉我，当他出差的时候，没有多余的时间去观光，因为经常要加班。 爸爸告诉我说，常年的出差生活让他感到很疲惫。忙碌的工作也让他很少回家，一年有一半时间都睡在酒店 里，这样又累又孤独。

这次谈话之后，我的想法改变了很多。之前我一直觉得一成不变的工作很无聊。忙碌的工作才能锻炼年轻人 的能力。但是随着年龄的增长，过于忙碌的工作会成为生活中沉重的负担。简单平凡的生活或许更能让人感 到幸福。我打算在大学毕业时找一份不需要旅行的稳定工作。
