One prize that I am really eager to win is the prize awarded to the top ten best singers at my school. Each year my school holds a musical competition in the summer for all the students to compete in. There are many prizes such as best band and best musician but the most prestigious (富有声望的）prize is that awarded to the top ten singers. Because the prize is so admired, many people perform in the singing category (种类）and thus it is a very difficult prize to attain (达到，实现）.Therefore，I will need to practice every day to ensure my singing is the best in the school. I am very passionate about singing, and I am sure I will win the prize with enough practice and dedication.

The reason I would like to win this prize is because singing has always been very important to me. I have been singing ever since I was a young child and practice it almost every day. Many people in my school admire me for my singing and I hope one day to turn my singing talent into a career. I think that winning this prize would be the validation (验证、证明）I need to believe in myself and pursue (从事）a career in music. Also, my parents have always supported my singing practice ever since I was young, so winning this award would make them very proud of me. I really hope that I win this prize so that I can make my parents proud and also earn the recognition and appreciation of my fellow students.
