Describe a person who gave a clever solution to a problem.

Who the person is

When and where it happened

What the problem was

And explain why it was a clever solution

The clever person I'd like to talk about today is Huweiwei, the founder and CEO of Mobike Technology. She is a young entrepreneur (企业)in her 30s. Born in Zhejiang province and spent most of her time in her 20s working as a journalist, Weiwei decided to quit her job and create Mobike when she was 32.

The company called Mobike Technology was established by her in January, 2021. A few months later, they had their own factory in Beijing. It is the first well-known bike-sharing company in China.

I've watched an interview with Weiwei, she said in the video that the traffic is surprisingly terrible in Beijing. The horrible traffic jams in rush hours is just one thing, what made her more frustrated(挫败) was the inconvenient public transportation. Only a few people can live close to the metro stations, and the shuttle (穿梭的)buses between metro stations and residential (住宅域)areas are quite limited. Every morning, she had to order a taxi to the station, it was a torture(折磨) for her to spend such a long time on transport. That's when she started to realize, bicycle seems to be the only solution to the problem.

Mobike isindeed a clever solution and invention. It's different from other shared bikes, firstly because of its weather-sensible design, including plastic wheels(车轮) and airless(不透风的) tires(轮胎). It can withstand (抵挡)the raining seasons in most of the big cities in China, like Shanghai's plum rains(梅雨季).

It has solved most of the problems caused by the inconvenient public transportation in big cities in China. You don't have to wait in the traffic jams, if you can find a mobike nearby and scan it with your *art phone.

More importantly, it is a win-win solution, not only did it solve people's traffic problems, it has positive effects on the environment. That's why the government has been funding the company ever since it was established.

Describe a TV series or drama you enjoy watching。

You should say:

What it is

What it’s about

When did you first watched it

And explain why you like watching it

Okay, I’d like to share with you a TV series I’ve been watching these days called 13 reasons why.

It’s like, em, last month,

I got instantly intrigued(吸引) by a recommendation from a famous blogger(博主), saying this show was rated 8.8 out of 10on IMDB(打分高达8.8.

Then, for the past month, I quickly finished the whole season(季), 13 episodes(集). Actually, this TV drama is basedon a best-selling book(畅销书), depicting(刻画) a story after teenager ClayJensen found a mysterious box with his name on. Inside he discovered a group of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker-his clas*ate who tragically committed *(自杀) several weeks earlier. On these tapes,Hannah unfolded(展开/呈现) an emotional audio diary(有声日记), detailing the thirteenreasons why she decided to end her life.

I guess the reason why I quite enjoy this teen series (青少年电视剧) is, to my surprise, it made me think a lot about life, about how our different behaviors may cause negative effects to others we interact with. Seeing Hannah suffering from confusion and desperation(迷茫和望) the whole time, I really hope someone like her clas*ates or parents could give her a helping hand(帮助她). Sadly, nobody read her mind(了解她的心思) successfully and chose to leave her alone when she said so. I know somehow it’s also Hannah herself who pushed away those who wanted to be close to her.

Anyway, I have to say committing * is a super reckless decision(轻率的决定). Just like one guy inthe show said: * is for the weak. Instead of hiding or ignoring the problem, the better way to deal with depression is to go get help from others, telling them directly what you’re really experiencing.
