一、Describe an intelligent person you know

You should say:

Who this person is

When and where you first met this person

What kind of person he or she is

And explain why you think this person is so intelligent

1. Lynn, a student of mine, is a senior executive officer in a multinational corporation

2. I met her in one of my night classes. She was a quiet student, studying so hard on the course

on a back seat.

3. She is a business type, who takes advantage of every minute and loathe every form of the waste

of time.in my classes, she never started chatting with others unless it's necessary or she was
invited, most of time, she focused on what she was up to. As a matter of fact, we became acquainted
after the third class and then became close friends.

4. A. We occasionally have coffee together .Her life is amazing. After the culture revolution in

1960s, she was the first generation got the the college diploma. In 1970s, she went to America for

further education, after that, she started an unbelievably successful career, and now she is a

respectful Vice President of the Asian pacific region of a top 500 corporation. Honestly, in her

generation, it's quite unusual.

B. Her experience can make a good story for those directors, and from which I learned much of
life, especially the definition of success. She helps me walk out of my depression many times, and
gives me much advice on my career, which really means a world to me. it seems like there is nothing
can possibly make her cornered.

C. I see her as a sincere friend, an experienced professional office lady, and a mentor, who
guides me on the right direction in my life.

二、Describe something you enjoy doing with an old person in your family

You should say:

Who the person is

What you enjoy doing with the person

Where and when you do it with the person

And explain why you enjoy doing it with the person

1. Grandpa

2. I enjoy chatting with him, listening to him telling me his life experiences, and some classic

short stories which I had heard many times in my childhood.

3. when I visit my grandparents’ home, I’d like to stay for a day or two to accompany my

grandparents, talk with them about what’s going on in my life and walk them around for some family

errands. Chatting with the old man is always an interesting part of it, it is fun.

4. A. My grandpa is a great person, very easy to get along with. Although after this year’s

birthday, he is 92 years old, he is still energetic. It seems like time does not change him a bit.

In his life, there are many ups and downs . he has done many different careers, as a doctor in the

early years, he had earned many friends and a good reputation, after the world war 2 broke out, he

joined army, and served his country with most of his good years and came back home as a war hero .

His stories are amazing, maybe some of them are exaggerated, but who cares. He is quite a story

teller, it’s easy for him to drag you into his story, he knows when to stop, when to bluff , and

when to pull the trigger of your laugh and tears. And more importantly he always has many new stories

to tell. I never get bored of listening to his stories, actually since my child hood, it’s always a

good time.

B. He is a good listener as well. He usually will be quiet when I complain about something

unpleasant. After I am done with complaint, he will give some sincere advice, which usually work

perfectly.
