6分的描述
Has a wide enough vocabulary to discuss topics at length and make meaning clear in spite of inappropriacies.
Generally paraphrase successfully
7分的描述
Uses vocabulary resource flexibly to discuss a variety of topics.
Uses some less common and idiomatic vocabulary and shows some awareness of style and collocation, with some inappropriate choices.
Uses paraphrase effectively

例子：Writing
喜欢写作吗，平时写些什么。手写与电脑的区别等等。
Examiner：Yes. I love writing. For I’m a relatively introvert person, writing is a better way for me to express the thoughts than speaking. Writing needs creation, patience, sensitiveness to life and different ways of thinking like logical thinking and critical thinking. So writing is tough but full of fun. I learnt both Chinese and English writing in middle school. But Chinese as mother tongue was more challenging, because we were asked to write argumentative essays based on social issues. However, English was less difficult. We still focused on narratives and functional letters.
从以上例子中，我们可以很明显地感受到这段口语很好。为什么？因为其中出现了一些不是很常见的形容词、名词，但是就是这些形容词、名词使得整个口语看起来更加的充实，说明得更加生动。比如Introvert, Creation, Critical thinking, sensitiveness等等。这里就不多举例了。其实词汇的丰富，可以让你的口语更为特，不是一味地使用一些常用词甚至重复使用这些词。
因此掌握很多词汇能帮助你避免重复使用同一个单词甚至同一个句型。这里并不是指要背很多单词，有些考生词汇手册背了很多，却不会使用单词，这是很大的问题。考生应该知道在什么样的场合什么样的语境里可以使用这样的单词。
考生可以通过以下几个途径扩充自己的词汇量：多看看英语新闻报纸，比如China Daily；上网浏览一些文章，杂志，比如the Economists；看英语节目等等。而在实战考试时，考生要多多注意同义替换，讲表达内容更加细化，甚至在讲述专业话题尽量使用一些专业词汇，这就是6分与7分本质上的区别。
