针对为数不多的 Part 2 全新话题,包括 a science subject teacher you know ( 一位理科老师 ) a science lesson ( 科学课程 ) a wrong decision you / other people have made ( 错误的决定 ) ,笔者建议考生将前两个话题合二为一准备一篇模板,即一位理科老师教授一门科学课程,可以是生物、化学、物理、天文等等。

Describe a science lesson that you took at school

You should say:

when you attended this lesson

where you attended this lesson

what you learned

and explain what happened in the lesson.

Sample Answers:

Ok right then, well the science lesson I’m gonna talk about is one of my chemistry classes I had during middle school, which I guess must have been about four or five years ago by now.

So you’re probably wondering what exactly the experiment was! Well, if I remember correctly, we were basically testing the reaction of certain metals when you put them into water. And what made it so fun was the fact that the metals turned out to be really volatile, so in other words, they literally exploded when they came into contact with the water! And this was something that we had never seen before, so none of us expected such a big reaction. Anyway, after we finished the experiment, we then had to write everything up, which was the boring part, but I guess doing that kind of helped us *yze the results in a methodical way and draw up the conclusions.

And when you compare this to most of the other classes we had, where we basically just went through the text book and took notes, it was a thousand times more interesting, as I’m sure you can imagine, so none of us forgot that class, and we all wanted to do the experiment again, but unfortunately our teacher told us once was enough!
