雅思写作无论是A类（学术类）还是G类（移民类）考试时间都为60分钟，二者都是在指定时间内完成两篇作文（大小作文各一篇）。并且雅思考都是建议篇小作文用时20分钟，大作文40分钟。并且在文章字数上要求也是一致的，小作文150字；大作文250字。从这两方面可以看出二者是一样的，没有什么区别。

【考试题型和考难易度】

众所周知，由于雅思考A类与G类考目的不同，A类（Academic）是学术类，主要用于留学。G类（General Training）是培训类，主要用于移民。

A类雅思写作的篇文章，题目中会给出一些视觉性的信息，如一个或多个互相关联的图表、图解或表格，我们通常称之为图表作文。G类写作的篇文章需要根据题目中的问题或者事件写一封私人信件，形式可为非正式、半正式或正式。题目包括对一个问题或事件的描述，以及对考生需完成的任务的三点要求。我们通常称之为书信作文。

雅思G类写作题目: The government will build a new airport near where you live. Write a letter to the newspaper explaining where you live and why you do not want this development.

【写作范文】

Dear Editor,

I am writing to complain about the construction of an airport in the vicinity of my home, which is going to commence in a few months.

I live in the western suburb of a city called West Haven. This area is the most suitable living area because most local industries are located on the other side of the city. However, to my surprise, the government had decided to build an airport here.

I would strongly protest this inconsiderate action of the local government. For one thing, the noise of aircraft would inevitably break the tranquility of this area and peaceful lifestyle of the people around here. For another, because there are often lots of birds flying about in the sky, this may cause aviation safety problems. Obviously, it would be a foolish and even dangerous decision to build an airport here.

Therefore, for the sake of our lovely city, I hope the press can do something to help to avoid the short-sighted development of the airport. It would be highly appreciated if you could forward this message to the authorities concerned.

【雅思G类写作作文二（大作文）】

雅思写作无论是A类还是G类，二篇文章都是一篇议论文。考试题目中会给出一个看法、论点或某个特定题目的问题，大需就此提供事实性的信息、概述或提出一个解决方案、论证一个观点、或评价观点和论据。考生在这部分需进行议论文形式的写作。虽然都是议论文，考形式，要求也大同小异。但是考试题目是不一样的，但是近年来的雅思考写作题目二者经常交换重复以往的考题。

从上面的分析对比来看，二者除了小作文考针对性不一样外，其余的方面没有多大区别。所以大不能简单的说G类考题难度一定低于A类。雅思也是一再声明二者在难易度上没有可比性。
