What kind of expensive things do people like to buy?

Maybe it’s stereotypical, but I would say luxury bags for ladies and latest tech gadgets for guys. They constantly cost us money, because there are always new models. A girl can never have too many bags, and boys always seem to be on the search for new games and hardware. Of course, there are much more expensive things that people like to buy as well. I would say houses and cars. But I don’t think they are so easily affordable to most.

What’s the difference between women and men in buying things?

They like buying different stuff, of course, such as bags for women and tech gadgets for men. Their attitudes may also differ. Just being theoretical – women are more likely to linger around browsing for things they probably don ^‘ t need to buy, while men are more likely to go directly for what they want. Shopping for women is more of an entertainment or an opportunity to catch up with friends, when men hardly ever do so to kill time.

What are the advantages and disadvantages about being rich?

Being rich makes it possible for you to buy anything you like without having to think about it over and over again. It’s really a pain if you put something in your shopping cart on Taobao for a long time and still can’t afford to buy it. Also, you don ^‘ t have to shoulder the pressure of getting a loan for your house or car. But having money does not mean you can own everything. You still have to make the effort to preserve it, and to make more.

Why are some sports expensive? Are they for everyone?

Most extreme sports are expensive, because they have high requirements for locations and manual assistance. For instance, you cannot do bungee jumping everywhere, only off high cliffs. You can only ski in a place where there is snow, such as Hokkaido in winter. You cannot parachute without a coach. I don’t think they are for everyone, because first of all, not everyone can afford them; secondly, not everyone likes them.
