1. Who is the head of the family in your culture?

In my culture the head of the family is the father. The father is the person who normally makes the big decisions and leads the family towards the future. However, in the modem world we are becoming more equal as a society and so often this is not the case. There are many examples nowadays of families where the mother and the father share responsibility in leading the family. But, for the majority of households in my country it is still the father who is the head of the family.

2. Are men better than at decision making in a family?

It has often been thought that men are better at decision making in the family and this is a belief that people have held for decades. However, I do not think it is true. Personally, I believe that men are just as likely to make bad decisions as women are. Furthermore, there are many men who make terrible decisions, such as alcoholics and gamblers. Therefore, I think men and women are equally good at making decisions in the family.

3. Should a leader discuss with team members when making decisions?

It is important for a leader to discuss with team members when making decisions. It is true that a leader should be confident in their ideas and willing to take risks, but they should also be good listeners. A leader is meant to lead the group towards the best outcome and what is best for the group. Therefore, the opinion of the group matters, and if a leader listens to the group then they will be a very good leader. Often, team members have very good ideas and are worth listening to.

4. Do you think this （more men than women are leaders） will change in the future?

I definitely think this will change in the future. As a society we are becoming more equal and we are fighting for the rights of people who have been disadvantaged. Therefore, people are fighting for the rights of women who often struggle to get jobs in positions of power. Thus, as society progresses towards a fairer and more equal system, I think more and more women will become leaders and work in government. For a very long-time women have struggled to achieve the same rights as men in the world, but I think they will achieve them soon.
