1. On what occasion do people usually apologize to others?

People usually apologize to others when they have done something wrong. People apologize when they have upset someone else and would like to make things rights. For example, if somebody accidentally tripped up their friend and made them fall, that person would instantly apologize. This is because they did something wrong and do not want their friend to be upset. It is right to apologize when you have made a mistake.

2. Do people in your country like to say “sorry”?

People like to say sorry when it is the right thing to do. In my country manners are very important and it is right to be a good and caring person. Therefore, if you have done something wrong it is right to apologize. People in my country are not afraid to admit （承认）they are wrong and say sorry. I think it is a very silly （愚蠢的） thing when people are too proud to apologize for their mistakes.

3. Do you think people should apologize for anything wrong they do?

I think people should always apologize for anything wrong they do. If somebody does something wrong, there is no context in which an apology is not necessary. The reason we apologize is to admit to our mistakes and try to create resolutions. Apologies are very positive things and they are the first step to fixing a bad situation. Therefore, people should always apologize when they have done something wrong.

4. Why do some people refuse to say “sorry” to others?

Some people refuse to say sorry to others either because they are not sorry or because they are proud. Some people often refuse to admit that they are wrong, even when they have committed a mistake. Therefore, these people will refuse to apologize because that would imply （意味、暗示）they are guilty. In other cases, sometimes people are too proud to apologize. I think these are both very silly behaviours and people should learn to be better.
