1. Why is it important for sports fans to celebrate when their favourite team wins?

Sports is all about community and friendship. There are many sporting competitions on national and international levels which bring together towns, cities and sometimes even countries, all supporting the same team. Therefore, when your favourite team wins a competition it is good to celebrate because you are celebrating the success of a community. It is a time for joy and happiness, and this is a good experience to share with each other in a big group celebration.

2. Do people prefer winning in a team or on their own?

There are two types of people in the world, those who prefer winning in a team and those who prefer winning on their own. I think it is more fun to win in a team, because there is a group of people who you can share your happiness with. The celebrations are happier and you all are proud of each other. I think most people prefer this. However, some people prefer to have all the glory for themselves and thus prefer to win on their own.

3. How are birthday celebrations different between young and old?

Birthday celebrations are very different between young people and old people. Young children normally throw big and exciting birthday parties with lots of games and events. Children like to have birthday parties at the zoo or at a play area, with lots of running around, shouting and fun. Adult birthday parties are much more elegant and refined events. Adults normally celebrate their birthdays over a classy meal or quietly celebrating at somebody’s house with drinks and food.

4. How do Chinese people celebrate their family events? Is there anything different from other countries?
