Topic 4 想做的户外活动

1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of playing outdoor sports?
Honestly, I don’t really like sports that much28. I guess I’m not a good person to ask29. But one advantage is that you have larger areas to play in. Another one is that you get fresh air while you play.But there are also some disadvantages. The first one that comes to mind is that the weather can change very quickly and ruin the game30. It would suck to be caught in a downpour31.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of playing indoor sports?
Off the top of my head, I would say that the advantages are that the environment is cleaner and more controlled than it is outside. When you’re playing outdoors, you have to worry about the weather changing. After all, it could start raining and ruin the game. But inside, you can control the temperature. You also don’t have to worry about getting too dirty. But indoor sports can get pretty crowded. The facilities are usually *aller.

3. What sports involve teamwork?
Lots of sports involve teamwork. I don’t know that much about sports, but I can think of a few32. For example, basketball, soccer, and volleyball all require you to be a team player. Some *aller-scale sports like badminton also have teams. You can play it in pairs. In all of those sports, you have to trust your teammates. You need to work well together.

4. What kinds of outdoor sports are popular in your country?
I don’t really like outdoor sports. A lot of my friends do though. As far as I know, badminton and volleyball are really popular, especially in the summer. During the last summer holiday, some people I know actually had a badminton tournament33. It was fun to watch them play together. I guess another one would be soccer. It’s probably a good way to wind down but I’d rather just watch.

5. Which one is more exciting, indoor sports or outdoor sports?
Personally, I think outdoor sports are a lot more exciting. Lots of outdoor sports are more intense34 than indoor sports. People get more active and adventurous when they play outside. For example, people like playing football. In that sport, you can run in a large field and have fun playing the other team. But indoor games like yoga or dancing lessons aren’t as competitive.
