1. Which kinds of people like reading news and which don’t like it?
I think people who care about the world enjoy reading the news. Busines*en probably read the news a lot. They need to know about policies that might affect their business1. But some people don’t pay attention to things around them, so they probably don’t like the news. You know, they aren’t really interested with what’s going on in the world. They care more about their own lives.

2. What kind of news do people like?
I suppose that in general, people like reading news about celebrities. Lots of magazines sell the latest gossip2 about famous people. Readers just love hearing about their favorite stars. Honestly,it’s weird that3 people care so much about strangers. I guess it’s because our society focuses a lot on famous people. Everyone wants to know what’s going on in their personal lives.

3. Do young people and old people like the same type of news?
No, I don’t think they like the same type of news. Young people like news about famous people and pop culture. Lots of my friends read news about their favorite stars. But when it comes to old people,I guess they probably like reading news that’s about politics. For example, my grandpa likes hearing about famous politicians. I guess old people just tend to be a lot more serious than young people.

4. Besides TV, how do people get news?
Well, when it comes to people my age4, I know that many people get news from social media websites.Personally, I check apps on my phone to get the latest news5. But I know lots of other people read actual newspapers6. It seems kind of old-fashioned7 to me, but I guess older people like those forms.Lots of old people that I know are subscribed to newspapers that keep them informed8.

5. Do you think children should start watching news from a young age?
No, I don’t think so. A lot of stuff in the news is really serious. For example, there are lots of stories about robberies and murders. They aren’t good for children to read about. Kids should stay innocent9.They shouldn’t have to read and watch those kinds of things. Maybe they can pay attention to the news when they’re older.

6. Do you think we should pay attention to the latest news?
Yeah, I definitely think we should. People should know about what’s going on in the world. If you watch or read the latest news, you can stay informed. That’ll let you have better and more interesting conversations with other people. It seems to me that nowadays, people are too focused on themselves10.I think it’s good to pay attention to the world around you.
