With the development of society, students today can receive a more pleasant education than before. School can offer a variety of courses to students, such as physical education, philosophy, math, English, geography, physics and history. Of all these subjects, I suppose physical education is the most essential one, while philosophy is the least. Physical education, as the most indispensable course, has a strong influence on students’ health, study and communication. First of all, physical education will make students more active in sports which can keep their body strong and fit. Whoever takes physical education will spend more time in (or engage more in) sport activities such as playing basketball, running, swimming and so on which can accelerate their blood circulation, strengthen the immune system and keep them energetic. Besides, it will also benefit students’ mental health as it can assist them with motor abreaction. Secondly, physical education can indirectly conduce to students’ study. It is apparent that those who have a healthy body have enough energy to study well(effectively). Finally, physical education can provide students with chances to make friends with others who also like sports. Those who are fond of playing basketball would be together frequently, talking about NBA. This enables them to have better communicative and interpersonal skills. Philosophy which I consider to be the least crucial course is not practical for students. As the world is developing, high income is necessary for people to satisfy their needs in life. However, philosophy cannot help students learn survival skills. In other words, learning philosophy cannot make a living (provide a better living). Moreover, students who learn philosophy may have few students?(friends?) who share the same major with them in real life as philosophy is so abstract that it is too difficult to learn. In conclusion, physical education is the most critical course while philosophy is the least significant one. Physical education help students become healthy, study well and make more friends. On the hand, philosophy is boring and cannot help students bring home the bacon. I am so glad to read your writing. You have excellent organization and reasoning!
