　　I’d like to talk about the time I helped an old lady.

　　It was last summer, one day, I was driving on the road, at that time, I just got my driver’s license, so I was driving pretty slowly. And then, I saw an old lady standing by the side of the road, walking back and forth. Clearly, she wanted to cross the road, but there were so many cars driving past, she tried several times, but she was too afraid to pass. Some drivers even honked their horns hard when they saw her.

　　So, I stopped. Well, to be exact, not only did I stop my car, I turned left, and parked my car in the middle of the road, so suddenly, all the cars stopped. I got out of my car, walked up to the old lady, and walked her across the road. It was not until then that I realized she’s actually blind. When we were walking, I felt like a super hero. I was so proud of myself.

　　Several days later, someone told me, they saw a video online about me helping an old lady. So, it turned out, someone there filmed me that day and posted the video on the Internet. If you go online and search for ‘handsome boy helping old lady’, you will probably see me.

　　雅思口语语言点解析：

　　driver’s license = driving license = an official document that shows that you are qualified to drive

　　back and forth = from one place to another and back again repeatedly例如：

　　ferries sailing back and forth between the islands

　　honk = if a car horn honks or you honk or honk the horn, the horn makes a loud noise例如：

　　honking taxis

　　Why did he honk at me?

　　People honked their horns as they drove past.

　　walk up to somebody / something = to walk towards somebody / something, especially in a confident way例如：

　　She just walked up to the desk and asked to see the manager.

　　walk somebody + adv. / prep. = to go somewhere with somebody on foot, especially in order to make sure they get there safely例如：

　　He always walked her home.

　　film = to make a film/ movie of a story or a real event例如：

　　Two young boys were filmed stealing CDs on the security video.

　　The show was filmed on location in New York.

　　It took them six weeks to film the documentary.

　　The results will be posted on the Internet.
