一、TR(Task Response任务完成情况)
这是评分标准中的第一项，具体体现在是否满足AIE上。A指Argument，即要有辩论；I指Idea，即论点；E指Evidence，即论据。
二、CC(Coherence & Cohension连贯和衔接)
连贯和衔接分为意连和形连两方面。所谓“意连”，指一个段落必须围绕一个主题句展开，前后在语意上达到统一和完整。主题句和后面支持性的论据必须有一定的逻辑关系，可分为因果、列举、举例、定义、比较和对比等。对于“形连”，它的主要表现形式是段落之间和段落内部的连接词。在写作过程中，我们要恰当使用表示承接和转折的连接词(如To Begin With, In Addition, However等)以及句子之间的指示词(This，It等)。
三、LR(Lexical Resources词汇资源)
这一点在各种英语作文考试中都会涉及到，但雅思教会我们并不是尽可能使用大词，而是使用恰当的词表达确切的涵义。而且文章内部的语体、风格也要一致。比如对于题目要求的陈述，传统上学生习惯于将原题抄写一遍，对付汉语作文也不例外，但雅思规定抄原题不算字数。
四、GR&A(Grammatical Range & Accuracy语法范围和精确度)
不同于传统的为了使用复杂句子而去使用的写作思路。因为除了要用，还要用得准确和恰当。复句特别是非谓语动词虽然是英语语言的高级表现形式，但并不是随处可用，不仅要学会如何造句，还要学会每一种句子所适合的语境、语篇。
