Introduction

Currently, there is a hot discussion aboutthe reasons why there are developing countries in growing number expandingtourist industries and whether it is a positive development or not. As far as Iam concerned, I am convinced that it is a positive development. In this essay,I will make an *ysis of the reasons in the following paragraphs.

Main Body 1

The first and foremost reason is that,touri*, which becomes the principal source of financial revenue in manydeveloping countries, is financially beneficial to the economic development.For instance, China needs an increasing amount of foreign currencies for it*odernization drive. Touri* is one of the most crucial channels to obtain suchcurrencies. Furthermore, touri* facilitates the development of the cateringbusiness and transportation service as well. Additionally, tourist industrie*ake primary contribution to the national income and tax revenue.

Main Body 2

In the second place, touri* provides localhabitants in tourist attractions with more opportunities of employment, whichhas eliminated some social problems to some extent. In the scenic spots, it iscommon that even the uneducated people can make a living simply by sellingsouvenirs, local specialties and so on, which relieves the pressure of thelocal government.

Last but not least, it is true that touri*contributes a great deal to the friendship and mutual understanding betweenpeople from different countries, which will unquestionably enhance the futurecooperation in international affairs. Touri* provides people with a goodopportunity to have better understanding of the culture, history and customs inforeign countries.

Conclusion

All in all, it is of great benefit fordeveloping countries to promote the tourist industry, for it will play apositive role in both the economic and political development of a country.

笔者基于教学积累以及在日常教学活动中学生的反馈，挑选出了个人认为2009年A类议论文中较难的也较具代表性的3道题进行说明，对今后写作备考模式给予一点建议。

1 审题难

Many people are optimistic about the 21st century and see it as an opportunity to make positive changes to the world. To what extent do you agree or disagree with their optimi*? What changes would you like to see in the new century?

这道题目被称为2009年的“非主流题目”，首先，从题目的主题来说，内容非常宽泛，似乎不属于任何一个主题，考生一时间很难准确把握其出题意图；从提问方式来讲，兼有辩论和分析，而且两者之间似有内在联系，需要深思熟虑。

“人们对于21世纪十分乐观，将其看作一个给世界带来更多积极因素的机遇，是否赞同这种乐观，你希望看到哪些方面的变化？”对于这种很宽泛的题目，最好的处理方式就是将其拆分为熟悉的常规主题，我们可以从环境、科技、经济、教育、文化等多个方面去选取适合的切入点，发现令人乐观和悲观的现实都存在。可以采取双边讨论的方式：

乐观 — 高科技发展和教育的普及，物质财富的积累及人民生活水平的提高，文化交流的增多。

悲观 — 环境的恶化和能源危机，教育和科技发展的不平衡，全球化对文化多样性的影响。
