可能一般学生都会认为这个话题比较简单,因为我们大部分烤鸭们更多的是在讲运动给我们带来的好处,比如说make us stronger and healthier, build our strength and lift our spirit, take my mind off the things that annoy me等等。 A sport event/ A sport star you like, 最近又演变成A sport event you watched on TV。

A. 2008 Olympic games held in Beijing

B. International Pair Figure Skating Tournament

A movie, A piece of music,

As a big fan of sports, I have watched dozens of both domestic and international sport events so far, among which, the most impressive/unforgettable one should be the 2008 Olympic games held in Beijing/ International Pair Figure Skating Tournament that I watched on TV around 4 years ago.

The Olympic Games is considered to be the most important international sporting and cultural festival which attracts people from almost every corner of the world to watch. Winning the chance to hold the Olympic Games can even bring great glory and honor to a country; China was announced to be the host of 2008 Olympic Games, in which Chinese nation takes pride 所以As one of patriotic Chinese, I could not help waiting in front of TV and watching it. It was the final of the International Pair Figure Skating Tournament that captured people’s attention and imagination. Actually, I am not a big skating fan, and I even used to be fear of skating which is like an impossible mission for me. But 4 years ago when I turned on TV and watched the sport event by chance, I was totally amused by the performance of the elite skaters from different countries like Sweden, Russia and China competing for the championship. Their graceful and fluid footwork was very impressive, when the female skater spun around her partner, she was like a lightsome butterfly. And what was the climax of the event for me was the moment when Chinese athletes Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo entered the rink. I was extremely surprised to see Chinese faces who are the top pair of skaters in China. With great excitement and expectation, I concentrated all my attention on the screen. They effortlessly executed every element in their programme: difficult throws, spins and a high triple-twist. Their rarely seen forward-outside death spiral earned them prolonged applause from the audiences and a higher mark than the proceeding athletes.

The Olympic Games/ International Pair Figure Skating Tournament was really a visual feast which is filled with magic and miracle. Although it always comes with success and failure, the spirit and effort that athletes show us tell us how important it is for us to rise to the challenge and never compromise on difficulties and fear.

House and Apartment

  Home/House/Apartment
Do you currently live in a house or a flat/apartment?
I live in a flat not far from the town center.
I currently live in a 300-square-meter house in the southern suburb of the town.
  考生要理解flat/apartment与house概念上的差异。
  Can you describe your house/flat?
Sure. The flat has 6 rooms—one living room, one kitchen, one bathroom and three bedrooms for my parents, my brother and myself. The extra one is for the guest who would come to stay with us.
What main items of furniture or appliances do you have in each room?
There aren’t many things in my home. To begin with, there is pla*a TV with two surrounding speakers on each side in the living room. In front of it are a coffee table and a set of couches arranged in a half circle. There are also, of course, a few pieces of decorations in the corners and on the walls of the living room. In the bedrooms there is really nothing special, but only beds. However, in my parents’ room there is another TV and in mine, a desktop computer, because, you see, I have to work on my computer everyday.
Is it a typical house/flat in your city?
Yes, it is. You’ll find tons of flats/houses like this in my city.
Not really. I don’t think most people can afford a big house/flat like this one.
What kind of house or flat do you want to live in in the future?
Well, I would prefer a new flat in the town center. It doesn’t have to be very big, but definitely has to be nice and cozy.
I’d like to have a big house with a beautiful garden in front for myself. You see, I always wanted to live in a house, to enjoy the big space and privacy it provides. But, of course, I also have to think in terms of my affordability before I make my final decision.
Do you like the decoration in your home? Why or why not?
Are you kidding? From the wallpaper selection to paintings I drew by myself, from the flowers on the table to other decorations in the corner, I made all these all by myself. I love them.
No. I am not very satisfied with the decoration in my home, because I always feel there is something missing. Maybe I need something to put in the corners.
Will you move to another house or flat in the near future?
Yes, definitely. The one I’m currently living in is too old. The paint is peeling off; the wall is not soundproof enough; and worst of all, the sewage system in the building is just annoying—it always gets stuck, letting wastes drift everywhere in the corridor. Just imagine how terrible the scene looks. So I must move out of there as soon as I find a suitable one.
No. I’m comfortable with the house I’m living in now. It is big enough for my whole family and still close enough to the town center, making it all convenient for commutation to schools, offices and shops. So I’m not going to move.
What kind of house/flat are you going to move into?
Well, I would definitely like to move into a bigger flat, one that has a separate study room and a bigger living room for my new home theater system.
I am going to moving into a *all house. Though it is not my ideal house and has only 4 rooms, it is definitely cheaper than the flat I’m currently living in, because it is located in the community in the suburb. And it is safer.
What do you think of the area in which you live?
It is a great neighborhood with great environment and facilities. People are friendly; *all parks are everywhere; and there are also sports facilities free to use. I like the place where I live.
I am not very satisfied with the area in which I live. The major reason is it is too densely populated. There are not enough parking lots. It is always hard to get one. When it comes to the public facilities, you won’t have a chance to lay your hands on it, for they are always being used by others.
How long have you lived there?
I’ve lived there for 4 years. It’s been a great living experience: great neighborhood, great people, and great facilities.
I haven’t lived there for long. But I don’t really like the neighborhood, because people are too aloof. For a person like me who enjoys close friendship with neighbors, it is just nightmare.
  What are your neighbors like?
Since I live in a house in a less populated suburban area, there are only a few neighbors in the area where I live. But they are all great people, people who are always ready to help.
There are a lot of people living in my neighborhood. Some are really great people, while some others are just strange.
