雅思口语里经典的cafe还记得不，最近又是各种出现。现在的咖啡店除了要有情调，更是得有特色，没有主题都不好意思开门。什么zoo coffee啊，有猫在的咖啡店啊，各种回忆童年主题的啊，总之没有个什么selling point，就不要说自己是café啦。雅思考官之所以出了道描写咖啡厅的题目，估计就是想了解一下各地的特色店铺吧……

I’d like to talk about a café called Mr. Wang, which is located near my school, actually it’s only within walking distance of my school gate.

There are so many things to say about this café.

First of all, the biggest feature of this café is that the owner keeps two adorable cats that are not afraid of people at all. So this place has become a magnet for cats lovers, like me. After school, I just love to hang out in this café, having a cup of milk and petting those two cats.

The owner is extremely hospitable, he’s on a first-name basis with every regular, and we always get some *all gifts and free stuff from him on our birthday.

The environment and decoration of the café is unique, it’s like it’s specially designed for young people. I mean, the owner prepared board games and video games for the guests, so during weekend, there are always a bunch of students gathering here. And it also has a projector and a huge screen, the owner would play a movie on a regular basis, usually on Saturday night.

Oh, and anime buffs would love this place, ‘cause there are action figures everywhere in this café, including famous characters from American and Japanese animations.

Besides those two cats, what I love about this place is that the owner bought magazines and books for his guests. So for me, it’s a perfect place to kill time. The owner has got great taste, I mean, the background music he plays is always soothing and relaxing, so I always have a good time there.

语言点解析：

1. within walking distance of就是步行即可到达，例如：

The beach is within walking distance of my house (= you can walk there easily).

2. to be on a first-name basis with somebody就表示很熟，可以直呼姓名的那种(to call them by their first name as a sign of a friendly informal relationship)，英式说法是o be on first-name terms with somebody.

3. on a regular basis, 我们还会看到类似的表达，例如on a daily/ day-to-day/ weekly basis

4. anime buff

anime就是Japanese film/ movie and television animation, 日本动漫 buff就是对某个东西季度热爱的人，例如movie buffs.

5. action figures就是我们常说的“手办”(a doll representing a soldier or a character from a film/ movie, TV show, etc.)

6. hangout合在一起写是名词哦，表示a place where somebody lives or likes to go often，例如：

This cafe is a popular hang-out for tourists.

7. throw parties 跟party搭配的很口语化的动词是throw。

The country that I have always wanted to go but have not visited yet is Italy. I've been dreaming to visit Italy for more than 2-3 years. I'll definitely visit the country as soon as my graduation is complete. Italy is in Southern Europe. Rome, the largest city and the Capital of Italy has been the leading political and religious center of the western civilization, serving as the capital of the both Roman Empire and the Christianity. I'd like to go there to see the museums, arts, streets, cultural and other attractions. Another reason I want to go there is to visit the Vatican City. I have read and heard about numerous stories and history about this country and witnessing them would be a great joy for me. There are plenty of things to see: arts, museums, Colosseum, Leaning Tower of Pissa, Roman Forum, Florence Cathedral, St. Peter's Basilica, Milan Cathedral, Sistine Chapel, Piazza SanMarco, Circus Maximux and lots of other places I'd love to visit.

Italy was one of the most advanced territories once and had lots of historically significant places to visit. I've read about those places so many times and heard stories from many of my friends that visiting this country has become a major wish for me. And I'm pretty positive about visiting this country in next year.
