1.What do you do in your spare time?

As a matter of fact, I have very little spare time these days. My studies are so important to me that I have given up all my other activities. For example, I used to love playing tennis, but these days I simply do not have the time. In addition, I used to swim often, as I believe it kept me fit without the danger of being injured.

Well I'm not sure about the percentages, but I know there are various opportunities for me to do outdoor activities.

对于准备报考雅思考试的考生来说，在准备雅思口语P2部分的话题时，会面临人物题、事件题、物品题和地点题。因为P2话题较多，很多考生在初期备考时往往会无所适从，不知道该从哪里开始复习才好，小站老师认为，在准备不同类型的话题时，是有不同的技巧的。今天，小站老师来谈谈关于雅思口语事件类话题改怎么准备才好。

在谈如何解析事件类话题的时候，我们选择其中一个近期常考的事件题作为例题。

Describe a family celebration (such as wedding)that you attended recently.

When and where this celebration was held

What you did in this celebration

Who was there

Explain why this celebration was held

在拿到话题时，首先面临的第一个问题就是如何选择素材，该说什么才好，或者说是回答的思路是什么。的确，如今考雅思的平均年龄越来越低，让很多没有任何生活经验与阅历的高中生与大学生回答一些话题的确是有些勉强，中文尚且无法顺利表述，别说英语。但这不能成为阻碍我们回答的借口，这时候，我们可以用一些技巧对素材进行选择。面对这样的状态，我们可以从题目中入手：

可以从题目中入手？当然，因为既然是出题官方给的例子，那么考生在运用的过程中肯定不会出现偏题的情况。除此以外，直接使用原题中的例子，可以为考生节约备考时间，也就说考生不要花费太多时间去进行头脑风暴。所以，一般对于思路比较窄的学生而言，在出现大脑“短路”，无法想到合适的素材的情况下，考生可以直接选择题目当中直接给出的例子。只要回答的贴切，为什么不呢？

其次，在回答时，不能“实话实说”，在考题中经常会出现一些限定语，例如在Describe a happy event when you were a kid这道题目中“when you were a kid”就是限定语。又例如在上面的例子中，出现了限定语“you attended recently”，考生在答题的时候千万不能被这样的限定语所迷惑，认为只能说“小时候”或者“近期”，大家大可以把自己熟悉拿手的素材进行修改，来满足题目当中限定语部分的要求。毕竟这只是一场考试，无须担心这样的“造假”。
