There are more and more international tourists visiting because lots of scenes from the TV show ‘Game of Thrones’ were shot just outside the village.

7.Is there any way your hometown could be made better?

As I said before, the best thing about the town is its rural beauty and you can’t really improve that. If I had to say something, it would be to improve the roads, they are in a terrible state and cause a few car accidents every year.

There are many places in the world that I have been dreaming to travel to. The one I’m really eager to visit is definitely Spain. I knew this country from my cousin who is currently studying in Madrid, Spain. In terms of what I would do there, as a foodie, the first thing I would do after getting there is certainly trying the delightful Spanish cuisine. Another must-do thing in Spain is sightseeing around the country. You know, this country boasts rich culture and enchanting natural beauty. There are a variety of museums, exotic architecture and alluring beaches which are definitely worth a visit.

The reason why I regard the trip to Spain a special one is that it could provide me with a chance to know more about Flamenco dance which you know is a traditional Spanish dance. I first got to know this type of dance on TV. This type of dance was so unique that it caught my eyes immediately. It involves

fierce foot stomping, hand clapping and intricate hand, arm and body movements. It is highly expressive, which separates Flamenco from any other type of dance in the world. If I got a chance to visit Spain, I could watch a live Flamenco dance show and discover something more about this passionate dance. I believe it must be a thrilling experience.

In addition to this, if I paid a visit to Spain, I could meet my cousin. You know, we haven’t seen each other for quite a while, basically since she went to Spain two years ago. So I really miss her a lot. Also, there are many interesting things in my life that I’m eager to share with her. I can’t wait to see her!

按照4E，第一步首先描述这个国家的教育，大家看到教育应该如条件反射地想到这个国家的以下设备设施：university, library, museum. 然后开始进行拓展：well, there are a bunch of universities in Japan, such as Tokyo University. If there is any chance, I would like to study there and make local friends. In addition, the museums are well-known around the world and I will visit the local museum and learn some history in Japan. 说到教育大家要具体到某个机构，接下来就是加个人色彩，即如果有机会去的话，我会如何如何。这样也很好地讲自己融入到这个地点当中，不会显得很枯燥乏味。

第二步就是娱乐。这个部分学生说得比较流利而且思路很广。娱乐这一块我们也可以找一些通用的万能的例子，例如食物：In addition, I’m really a big fan of the Japanese cuisine, such as sushi, wasabi and sashimi. 8. Handwriting

(第一部分狂考。说手写和computer有什么不同？)

9. Pollution

(第二部分卡片，描述一个有污染的城市。一般以大城市为重点对象。一般以空气污染、水污染为主要描述对象。比如汽车排放尾气Cars discharge exhaust gases的问题，水质不清the water quality is not very high的问题。)

10. Something that can help you to learn English

(21世纪什么最重要？和谐！什么东西能高级地带来和谐？终端分析机。什么能帮忙学英语？字典呗！什么东西高级点学英语？电子字典、*字典呗！)

11. Economic recession/financial crisis

(新题。二月开始有的。经济危机题的数量不大。关键就是要注意第三部分说到What should the Chinese government do to deal with the financial crisis over the world? What can the Chinese government do to cooperate with other countries to tackle this problem?中国*可以做很多，主要是不搞trade protectioni*贸易保护主义，实施清迈倡议carry out the Chiang Mai Initiative等，中国考生应该就这一块做足准备。)

总评：新题中除了第6、9、11会涉及必要的专业术语，希望广大考生事先做好准备之外，其他的在应对方法上都以讲故事为主。雅思口试题现在越来越活，是因为考官开始让考生讲很多故事了，这样，考生就没办法靠死记硬背来准备考试了。而这也是考官的目的。可是我发现，如果考生能够形成一个故事材料套入这些题目中，以一挡十地做，会觉得这个准备过程能够带来更大的满足，因为没有了对专业术语的要求，其实这些题目准备起来似乎更方便了。

(请注意喔，不是圆明园，也不是颐和园，更不是豫园，而是私家花园。你有没有私家花园？如果让你讲你会不会讲？)

2. A library

(图书馆会吗？图书馆会了，博物馆会不会吗？博物馆会了，艺术博物馆art gallery会不会吗？这种题目把它合并做不就结了嘛？)

3. A piece of law

(法律题去年年底就小荷才露尖尖角。毒奶事件已经爆发，震惊全国乃至全世界。老外可能认为中国人法律意识不强，法律题即刻冒尖。这是一个无奈，因为考生头一遭遇到这题目的，终于知道了传说中的江湖绝招“一剑封喉”的滋味。这种题目，不能硬来，只能绘声绘影。)

4. A performance or drama or acting or dancing

(这道题有时间性。到了2009年四月应该就会慢慢淡去，可是为什么还要再写在这里呢？因为这道题可以和2合并啊，不相信吗？可以说，有人打*告诉你神七升天了。2008年的主要喜讯有这两条，神七升天China’s first space walk mission, Shen Zhou VII blastoff successfully, 奥运会 the 2008 Summer Beijing Olympic Games)

7. Success

(述说老百姓自己成功的故事。)

8. The best stage in your life

(人生中最好的阶段。第二部分卡片题。讲故事。)

总评：难题之所以难，是因为考生不熟悉话题。因此，1、建议大家收集花园里面相应的词汇，比如花和树的。2、建议大家参考图书馆网上介绍选取相应的表达。3、建议大家准备法律名称，并套用用法律来保护自己权益的故事。4、建议大家套Beijing Opera的表演。但是如果觉得太难，可以套故事说自己的表演。5、得事先准备。只要是人生中的希望，hopes and expectations，都可以讲作是人生中希望的变化。6、查找新闻。7、8可以和5结合起来。

三、怪题

1. Swimming

(形容一个游泳的地方。这道题使很多同学迷茫，因为大家会担心是不是没这么简单。其实这个题讲swimming pool就可以了。)

2. A big organization

(什么叫organization？很多考生不懂。其实organization很简单，很多东西都是organization，比如 companies, agents, corporations, charitable organizations都叫慈善机构了，考生知道四川地震吧？马上可以来一个，the Red Cross has many branches around China. In Wen Chuan Earthquake in Sichuan Province… 很多可以说的啊。)

3. An educational visit

(第一季度先遣部队。到后期数量大减，疲态尽显。该题是第二部分主打，请描述一个有教育意义的参观旅程。一般都是老师带去博物馆，美术馆，看到什么？有什么意义？可以结合博物馆这种题目。)

4. Visitor

(第一季度前期考得很火。目前有点后劲不足。故事题，男女朋友登门、朋友登门……太容易啦。)

5. Virtual art

(偏题。1月17、18这次开始考的，但后来几乎不再出现。蛮难的。因为很多考生概念不懂。其实也不能算太难。因为对于中国考生而言，最容易得就是说computer games！其实就是非真实的、被创造出来的不用真实材料的艺术，我的想法。)

总评：怪题目前有五道值得注意。怪题要调整思路做，要会发现怪题背后的老题，这才是最重要的。怪题可以和很多经典老题结合起来做。比如1可以和 hotel, 有水的地方结合。2可以和company结合。3可以和博物馆结合。4可以和friend结合。5可以和computer game结合。

四、老题重考

1. Radio

(第三部分常见，收音机的最大对头就是电视机TV，对它们的比较也总是雅思口试历史遗留问题。)

2. Bicycle

(第一部分，说说自行车的环保environmentally friendly，eco-friendly，讲讲其他交通工具means of transportation的差劲。)

3. A course you would like to study

(一个你想要学习的课程。我们有很多想要学习的课程，但有更多正在学的课程。它们是不错的选择。)

4. A healthy activity/habit/lifestyle

(这是2009年非常大的关注热点。考官非常关心中国人群的生活质量。所以，就会问到，比如：Which should be responsible for the health of the people, the individual or the government? 剑六开始就有道类似的题。到近期一直在考第二部分描述一种健康的生活方式，活动，比如practice yoga, go jogging，现在白领的健身房文化go to the fitness center提供了很多的选择。)

5. Communication

(第三部分常考。问道媒体沟通一类的问题。比如三宗“最”email, chatting tools, letter之间永远的纠缠。)

(网站题是一道重要的媒体题。媒体题要学会举一反三。一个网站的内容可以是一本书、一本杂志、一张报纸、甚至是一座雕塑——如果考生思路够开阔的话。关键是怎么引入。)

关于雅思备考：怎样才能提分？！

01雅思怎么备考？我为啥永远上不去那0.5？

首先要记得一件事：雅思是一门重视实际应用能力的考试，因此备考不能投机取巧，一定要从提升英语水平入手。

所以备考雅思，也是不能投裤闭机取巧哟。

英语能力的提升从来不会是一蹴而就的，是下苦功夫累积的结果。每个人的实际情况不同并适合不同的学习方式，不论是1-3个月短期集中大量经历的雅思学习和碎片化细水长流型的学习路径都可以看到提升，但前提都需要大家在学习计划中明确目标，并根据目标量化雅思学习内容及时间，并认真执行才能看到收效。

一般来说，听说读写各项学习60-80个小时后，雅思的阅读及听力能够有1-2分的提升，而作为输出项的口语及写作，同样的学习时间中，能够看到0.5-1分的提升。

时间安排

对打算参加雅思考试的同学而言，在制定计划着手备考之前，需先了解雅思考试的模式以及自己的起点，这样才能量体裁衣，设计一套适合自己的复习方案。

一般来说，在考前拿出一段较长的时间（3至6个月），制定合理的学习计划，按照正确的方法去备考才是根本之计。

输入类考试——听力&阅读

在雅思备考的时候，建议大家遵循先“输入”后“输出”的原则。输入类考试包括听力和阅读，是语料积累的过程，可以为之后的口语语写作备考打下坚实的基础。

雅思听力考试时，考鸭们可以先看题，带着目的来听材料，因此大家不用过度担心记录信息的问题，备考的重点要放在“听懂”意思上。这里给大家两个小tips，帮你提升实力：

熟悉多样题型，练习不能少

雅思听力题型丰富多样，如表格题，选择题，句子填空题，图表题等。所以想要在雅思听力考试中拿到不错的分数，多种听力材闷哪料的练习是少不掉的，此外做题时也要注意认真审题，避免掉进题目中的各种陷阱，例如字数要求问题，有些题目会明确标出No more than three words and/or a number.那么在写答案时，伙伴们可就要留意了，哪怕多写一个单词也是得不到分的。

巧用业余时间追大片，解决听力中的“南腔北调”

雅思虽然是英国人研发的考试，但是它更是通行全球的英语考试，我们的雅思考官来自各个英语为交流语言的国家，而听力材料中大家也会接触到不止一种英语口音，包括英式、美式、澳式、新西兰式等。

大家平常可以在休息时多追追各国大片，除了关注卷福啊、纸牌屋，也可以看看三傻大闹好莱坞，关注一下宝莱坞，努力打造一双“百毒不侵“的耳朵。另外也可以去英语方言数据库比如International Dialects of English 专门听一听从世界各地采集的英语口音样本，听多了奇葩的口音，印度英语、澳洲英语都不算事儿了。

阅读备考不是只用来辅助背单词、学写作表达，最重要的是：总结题目之间的规律。这里的“规律”不是“几长几短选某短”的口诀，而是宏观上要分析文章的行文架构、段落逻辑，微观上分析考题出现位置特点及考题和文章之间常出现的同义替换，这样打散揉碎了去分析，才能更好的读懂一篇文章。

同时大家要根据自己的水平对症下药。如果你的月度分数盘旋在5.5左右，建议从做逐字的精读分析文章开始；如果你的分数可以在6.5左右，可以对文章概括写summary反馈对文章的掌握情况；如果分数达到7.5左右且追求更高，则更多要分析出题点和题目之间的逻辑，到时候8.5学霸可能就是你啦。

输出类考试——口语&写作

写作和口语，与前两项恰好相反，地地道道的“输出型”。这里给大家的建议则是“掌握多少用多少”，没有必要生背一些特别难的词汇，导致自己口语用到发音都不准、写作用到拼写障碍，反而成了自己的弱点。

如果对自己的发音不那么自信的同学，建蚂纯码议大家做“跟读shadowing”－录音，然后去听自己的读音和音频有什么差异。如果自己听不出来（其实很多时候是因为你听的次数不够多）可以找小伙伴帮忙。

写作其实也是一个道理。很多时候自己绞尽脑汁写出一篇作文就特别有成就感，但实际你可以拿给同学读读，然后问他你写了什么，就会发现，他理解的不一定是你要表达的，这个时候就要检讨自己是不是表达用得不恰当或者逻辑混乱让读者摸不着头脑。

02雅思真的很难吗？

雅思是个亲民接地气的娃。

词汇是考生的第一道拦路虎，雅思词汇相对生活化，大家只要能够做到准确理解、表意就好，而不用去记忆太多晦涩的学科单词，也不用强求使用长难词汇来表示自己666。

另外雅思考试的形式是咱们中国考鸭比较容易适应的，纸笔答题、听力先看题再听，最重要的是考口语的时候你面对的是个活蹦乱跳的human being，你可以和他互动，一不小心有个口误，也可以解释和更改，在这样的情况下，考鸭们更能够轻松自如地发挥自己的水平。

所以烤鸭们只要认真准备，是可以获得令自己满意的分数的，更重要的是在这个过程中，大家可以确实地提升语言应用能力，为留学生活做好准备。

到底哪里考雅思口语分数会高？？

总是有同学会问，在不同地区考雅思是不是分数会不一样啊？我是不是应该去香港、越南这些地方考试啊？！

我只能感叹：谣言的力量太可怕了！！！必须给大家普及一下，killing the rumors!

想要飞去其他地方获得口语高分的童鞋们，我遗憾地告诉你们，请不要浪费车马费，因为你哪怕是飞到了地球的边缘，也不会因为换了个地方口语就提分。

雅思考试各个科目都有统一的评分标准，雅思口语也不例外，考官是从发音、语法、词汇、流利度和连贯性这4个方面对你的口语表现进行打分，并且这样的评分标准在每一个城市每一个考点是没有任何区别的。你是什么样的水平，考官就会给到你怎样的分数。不管周围小伙伴们的水平多高或多低，其实都对你的得分没有任何影响。

04 A类？G类？UKVI？我到底要考哪个？

很多同学都不明白雅思考试到底该考哪一类，下面，我们就来好好说说：

A类 vs G类

区分标准：成绩的用途

所谓A类，就是学术类（Academic）雅思考试，适用于出国留学申请本科及研究生及以上学位。而G类是指培训类（General Training）雅思考试，英语国家移民申请（如澳大利亚、加拿大、新西兰及英国），或申请培训及非文凭类课程。

普通雅思 vs UKVI雅思

那些关于留学申请的困惑

01我准备出国，选择哪个国家最好？

国内考研可以延缓就业压力，推迟就业期的到来；有些城市，有些学校能给研究所解决户口的问题；能够拿到更高的文凭，提高自身学历，增强竞争力；学术上有创见，可以沿着这个方向一直努力，毕业后获得稳定的工作。

而出国留学可以增长见闻，开拓视野，成为一个有见识的人；掌握一门外语，受益终身；磨练自己的生存能力，培养自己的吃苦精神，学习外国人的优秀之处；好的学校，好的专业，能够学到真正的知识，拿到过硬的文凭；有机会进入外国公司或者移民。

总之，无论是国内读书还是国外留学，都是提升自己的好机会。根据自己的经济实力和意愿做出合理的选择就好。

04考雅思也能去美国吗？
