A common interview question that can leave people speechless is "Tell me about yourself." The immediate response for many people is: where do I start?

The first thing to realize is that the question, "Tell me about yourself," provides you with a great chance to promote your strong points. This is particularly important when applying for a job that is different from what you have done in the past. With that in mind, make a list of the three most important things you want the interviewer to know about you. Avoid focusing on simple references to things that are already on your resume, although this information should form the skeleton of your answer. Around this skeleton should be the meat of your answer; your less obvious, but important skills. Here are some of the skills that you might want to mention:

This doesn't mean that you just say, "I'm a great problem solver." Instead, explain how you used your problem-solving skills at your previous job.

WHAT TO SAY 应说甚么？

What you actually say, in terms of the words you use, is something that you have to decide. You need to create an answer that sounds natural and, at the same time, interesting.

The way to determine whether your answer is natural is simply by writing a first draft of the answer and then read it out loud. When you do this, you'll probably spot things that you have to change.

以上为04年1月至11月的雅思作文TASK1的题型出现的频率，由此可见，柱形图以及表格图出现的频率是最高的，均为17次；；而饼图、线图以及前几年并不常常出现的流程图并列第二，出现的次数为6次；地图以及混合图到目前为止出现的频率最低，只有4次

因此，从数量上来分析，已经遥遥领先的柱形图和表格图出现的机率可能降低，然而并列第二中的两种图形即饼图以及线图则在接下来一个多月的考试中很有可能再次出现，混合图以及地图出也需要考生好好准备，切勿掉以轻心。

展示一下2021年主要出现频率，14年最后的几场考试中大作文考生们可以重点准备传媒类、文化和环境类的内容和语料，其次是社会和教育类。

雅思听力备考

一、词汇复习

对于听力考试，词汇的掌握非常重要。如果词汇掌握得不熟练，在听的过程中就会遇到一个个“绊脚石”，导致无法听懂，尤其是section4中的学术场景。提醒考生们在考前一个月中一定要定时定量背诵场景词汇，而且要有重点地去背，不要眉毛胡子一把抓。考前一个月，相关的习题已经做的差不多了，考生应该对高频词汇有感觉了。将平日里没听出来的场景高频词整理出来，多看几遍。

二、真题演练

看到“真题演练”这四个字，很多考生会感到不屑：真题做了至少两遍了，还演练什么啊。做过几遍真题的考生都有这样的体会：第一遍错哪里，第二遍还是错在那里。这是为什么？原因只有一个：考生没有真正地吃透真题，即第一遍做错了，没有认真分析错因。在此强调一下做一套真题的合理步骤：

1. 假想自己在考场，只放一边录音，坚决不能倒带，认真听完

2. 核对答案，评估得分，将错误答案改正

3. 重听听力原文，分析错误，分析粗心和简单的错误

4. 听不出来的考点回头看听力原文，划出没有听出来的部分，跟读录音，遇到生词查词典

5. 整理生词和考点，争取下次不犯类似错误。

这才是一套真题的完整用法。而很多考生仅仅做到第二步，因此才会重复犯同样的错误。建议没有做到以上五步的同学在考前一个月的时间里，将出错较多的真题再按照以上步骤仔细分析一遍。只有将真题吃透，才能拥有最起码的自信。

三、巩固语音基础

听力说到底，就是分辨声音的过程。不管你是把silver错拼成sliver，还是把pond听写成pound，都是基础语音不过关。简单来说就是，你一直读错或混淆了一些发音，这对听力和口语都会造成致命伤害。

而出国念书面临的生词比现在学雅思的阶段多3 - 5倍。如果你能下定决心，把你的基础问题解决，那么将一劳永逸。

四、了解雅思听力常考场景的背景知识

雅思听力考察的场景是以后你到国外生活和学习后，经常会碰到的场景。因此，你需要明白的是：1. 考的是另外一个世界的事情；2. 这些事情以后对你出国有用。

钱老师结合了当时我在英国留学的实际生活经验和你讲解雅思考察的场景到底是怎么回事，比如学校的住宿分几种类型，各自的优缺点；国外留学干什么*工作好，大家可以提前在国内准备；论文的写作格式等。所以很有可能，你出国之后还会带着这本书，呵呵

最后，请注意的是，雅思的场景词是不需要记忆拼写的，只需要记忆读音和意思即可。答案词才需要记忆拼写。这样，又帮你节省了一大把时间。
