雅思听力里的略读（二）

某单词字尾是辅音音标，而相邻的后面单词开头也是辅音音标（/w//j//h//r/除外），在读的时候，前面的辅音不发音或者弱读。也就是说：省前读后，也有人把它叫作前虚后实。可以分为以下几种情况：

当前词的词尾辅音与后词的词首辅音相同，则常只读后一个音，该音相对延长。

例如：This sweater is expensive.

国际音标：/ði（s）swetəiz ik'spentsiv/，/s/点到为止

例如：He likes strong tea.

国际音标：/hi：laik（s）strɔn ti：/，/s/点到为止
