【题目】

表格题(Table)

The graph shows the increase in the ageing population in Japan, Sweden and the USA. It indicates that the percentage of elderly people in all three countries is expected to increase to almost 25% of the respective populations by the year 2040.

In 1940 the proportion of people aged 65 or more stood at only 5% in Japan, approximately 7% in Sweden and 9% in the US. However, while the figures for the Western countries grew to about 15% in around 1990, the figure for Japan dipped to only 2.5% for much of this period, before rising to almost 5% again at the present time.

In spite of some fluctuation in the expected percentages, the proportion of older people will probably continue to increase in the next two decades in the three countries. A more dramatic rise is predicted between 2030 and 2040 in Japan, by which time it is thought that the proportion of elderly people will be similar in the three countries.

Writing Task 2

Some people think news is in no connection with people's lives; therefore, it is a complete waste of time to read the news in the newspaper or watch TV news. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

“等待”这个话题实际上已作为考前必练题，也是每月预测题中经常上榜的话题，目前看来还会继续作为事件类的重点题型， 需要大家准备好素材，多从日常中需要等待的经历中挖掘；

“著名影星”其实可以跟之前练习过的“喜爱的电影”和“钦佩的名人”关联在一起，素材上结合目前闻名的影视明星，需要注重对人物品质和特点进行深入刻画。

关于“讨论”和“花钱”，考场上已经出现过的真题包括“有趣的谈话”、“花钱较多的活动”和“省钱的好方法”，在素材方面，这三个话题的语料其实拆解细节，再灵活运用于这道题目上；

2. 人名+ think/say/claim/argue/believe/report/find/discover/insist/admit/report...+that 从句。
B. 人名在文中一般以以下方式出现：

2. 名(first name)，不常见
3. 姓(surname)如：Professor Smith
4. He/she (在同一段话中，该人再次出现时，用指示代词替代)
因此，建议考生去文中找人名时，应该将上述四种情况均考虑进去。再者，应该谨记在心的是：如果一个人名在一段话中出现N次，也只能算一次。如果一个人名在N段话中出现，就算N次。
C. 该题的答案遍布于全文。因此应该从文章的开头往后依次寻找人名。
D. 该题貌似是全篇文章的考察，其实考察的就是这些人所说的几句话。故，应先从文中找人名，再去找答案。
二、实例讲解
以剑桥4 P53 的人名观点配对题为例。该题共出现五个人：Robert Barton; Marc Bekoff; John Byers; Sergio Pellis; Stephen Siviy; 其中，Robert Barton; Sergio Pellis; Stephen Siviy仅出现一次。Marc Bekoff在文中出现两次;John Byers出现了三次。
这样，我们先解决出现一次的人名，然后去处理出现两次的人名，最后处理出现三次的人名。
处理出现一次的人名
在这三个出现一次的人名中，Sergio Pellis是在文中第一个出现的人名，现在以此为例进行分析讲解。
Sergio Pellis 出现在E段的开头：Earlier this year, Sergio Pellis of Lethbridge University, Canada, reported that there is a strong positive link between brain size and playfulness among mammals in general. Comparing measurements for fifteen orders of mammal, he and his team found larger brains (for a given body size) are linked to greater playfulness. The converse was also found to be true.
我们将第一个句子进行简化：首先将时间短语删去，将该人的单位删去。
Sergio Pellis reported that there is a strong positive link between brain size and playfulness among mammals in general(可删).
这里的positive link是指正相关，或成正比。Size表示尺寸大小，是指脑袋的大小和玩成正比。如果理解不透彻，可继续往下读两句。而后两句恰恰是对positive link的详细解释。
由此，回到选项中，进行对应，唯有：D. There is a tendency for mammals with *aller brains to play less. (*aller brains 与play less就是对称正比的诠释)。选项A. There is a link between a specific substance in the brain and playing. 是干扰项，因为这里的link between.... and ....之间的名词所指不同。
注：其余两个出现一次的人名可按这种方式依次做题。
