上周末完成的雅思考试,相信大家都对真题和答案很感兴趣,那么今天就来和小钟老师一起来看看2023年10月19日雅思口语考试真题及答案。
Tea or coffee
When was the last time you drank tea or coffee?
Do Chinese people like to drink tea or coffee?
Do you prepare tea or coffee for guests at home?
I think coffee can be addictive and I am a big fan of it. Actually I just drank a cup of cappuccino the moment before I came in. I am really into it because just a sip of coffee can keep me refreshed and energetic again after a tiring job. However, tea is not common in my daily life.
For most Chinese people, tea is a must in their life because tea is engraved in our culture for more than 2000 years, especially for those seniors. Also, there has been increasing number of tea houses built in both cities and towns. They not only offer high-quality tea, but also provide a quiet environment to chat with friends. But for young people, coffee is a more fashionable beverage because of the influence of western culture.
I prepare tea for guests at home because the flavor of tea caters to most Chinese people. But for coffee, some guests may think it is bitter and sour. Also it is easier to make tea. You just need to put some tea leaves into the hot water and then it’s done.
Vocabulary
Sip:小口喝
Refreshed:恢复精神的
Engrave:铭刻
Cater to:迎合
Sour:酸的
