熟悉雅思口语考试的同学们知道，虽然口语话题种类繁多，但问题的形式并不那么复杂，甚至可以总结出一定的模式。今天上海环球青藤的卢好雨老师来谈一谈雅思口语应试技巧之思路拓展。
以Part 1为例，无论话题是study，cooking，还是city, 都有可能会问到“Do you like it?”。这类问题看似简单易懂，但实际情况却是，不少同学回答完“Yes / No”以后就不知道如何继续下去了。因此，解决以下问题很关键：How to expand your answer?
我们就来看一个很基础的问题：“Do you like cooking?”。上口语课时，我惊讶地发现很多同学的回答竟如出一辙：“Yes, I like cooking because it’s interesting.” 同学们，你们可以想像，这样的回答在考官眼里多么boring。难道真的没有其他表达了吗？其实很多时候，你们缺乏的是idea而非language。要拓展你的答题思路，你需要做到三点：Explain（解释）, Specify（具体化）, Rephrase（改述）。
首先，You can always explain your idea. 我们不是说interesting不好，而是你需要解释“Why is it interesting?”为什么做饭有趣呢？比方说，“我热衷于让食物看起来很美味。I enjoy making food look tasty.”，“我可以按照自己的想法造菜肴。I can create new dishes based on my own idea.”，“别人喜欢吃我烧的菜让我很开心。I feel pleasant when others like eating my dishes.” 这几句话的用词和表达应该是大多数同学能够掌握的吧？虽然不那么“高大上” ，但却使你的答案有了内容，比罗列一排干巴巴的形容词奏效多了。
其次，You’d better further specify your explanation. 就以上一段的三句话为例，完全可以再往具体了说，具体化简单的方法就是give examples。比方说，“I enjoy making food look tasty. For example, when I’m making soup, I often put some spring onions in it to add a green color.”, “I can create new dishes based on my own idea. Taking egg as an example, Chinese people usually fry or boil egg, but once I tried mixing egg and fruit to make a dessert and it was a success!”, “I feel pleasant when others like eating my dishes. I remember one time I asked some friends to taste a banana cake I made. Everyone said the cake was delicious, which encouraged me a lot. Since then, I have been even more keen on cooking.” 加上了例子，答案是不是又丰富许多呢？而且这些例子中的表达真心不算难吧？
后，You can rephrase the same idea to make different expressions. 雅思口语考试中很注重persity（表达多样性），即使你没有新的想法，变换词汇和句型也未尝不是个好的选择。比如“喜欢做饭”的表达就只有“I like cooking”一种吗？当然不是！“Cooking brings me a lot of fun.”, “When I’m free, cooking would be one of my first choices to relax.”, “I can get a feeling of joy and pleasure from cooking.”这些句子虽然没有直接提到“喜欢”这个词，但哪一句不是表达出了喜欢的意思呢？所以说积累一些近义词和短语是很有帮助的。

Yes, I definitely do. Cooking brings me a lot of fun. I enjoy making food look tasty. For example, when I’m make soup, I often put some spring onions in it to add a green color. 口语考试的第一部分通常被认为是整个考试的导入部分。考官在这一部分中会询问和考生自身有关的问题，通过较为简单的提问来达到让考生放松情绪的目的，以便在整个考试过程中能够正常发挥其语言水平。主要涉及话题有：工作、学习、家庭、兴趣爱好、休闲活动、家乡、城市交通、天气、个人打算和计划等等。尽管事实如此，然而雅思口语测试并非类似我们通常和朋友进行的随意交谈。一段日常生活中和朋友进行的友好的随意的对话，其内容如果作为雅思口语考试的回答可能会显得有失妥当。
对考生来说，值得注意的是考官提问时是有其特殊目的的——他们要通过短短的十几分钟时间的回答来评估考生的语言能力，所以为考官提供足够的语言供他们判断尤为重要。
因此，我们在平时对话当中所运用的平实的语言，从雅思口语考试的角度来衡量很可能不是最好的答案。
那么什么才是一个比较“雅思”的回答呢?我们通过下面的例子进行说明：
Q: What sport do you like to play?
A1: Basketball.
A2: I like to play basketball.
A3: I like to play basketball. Basketball is a good sport. Many people like to play basketball.
Basket ball is popular in China. China has some good basketball players. Yao Ming is a famous basketball player. He is rich.
A4: I like to play basket ball because it's a fun game. Most of my friends play basketball and so we usually play after school in the school grounds. It's good because we can play it in the summer or the winter; because it's cheap and the reare basketball courts all around the city. Sometimes we go down to Xu JiaHui to play with our friends there.
上面的问题有很多答案，我们从雅思的角度来判断：
A1：如果是纯粹的生活对话，这个回答可以接受。然而如果运用在雅思口语考试中，会给考生没有将英语当作一门语言来使用的能力的印象。
A2：考生只在重复问题，并没有真正回答对Whatsport的提问。
A3：基本回答了提问，也给出了相关信息。但所有都是简单句，且句子之间没有明显联系。同时在答案的最后，给出的信息是和所问的问题不相及的，整个答案显得松散无章。
A4：是一个值得肯定的答案。回答了问题，信息充分，语言也非常连贯和流畅。
那么就以上问题来说好答案的标准是什么?我们不难看出，第四个答案中包含了不止一方面的信息：What、Who、When、Where、Whatstories。
这就是第一部分回答问题的策略。总的来说，考生在回答该部分问题的时候，需要注意两点：1、Answer the question回答这个问题;2、Expand the answer适当地扩充答案。只要把握了这两点，相信在第一部分考试中一定能够从容应对。
对于那些英文表达没有太多的问题，而备考时间又不是十分充裕的考生来说，雅思口语第一部分就像是一块‘鸡肋’，复习没有什么必要，不复习的话又心里没底。所以，如何抓住雅思第一部分中值得复习的几道题目，在短时间实现快速突破就成为了雅思口语考试中能否取得高分的关键。

1. Would you talk to people whom you meet for the first time?
雅思口语里面最难的题目往往是看起来比较幼稚的题目。如何寻找到准确的切入点就自然而然成为了关键。这个题目一个比较明显的切入点就是性格。考生可以回答会与第一次见面的人交谈，那主要原因就是性格比较outgoing, 通过交流能够了解不同人的想法。接下来可以按场合来详细说明，在哪几种不同的场合下交友的目的是什么。Alternatively, 考生也可以说自己会对陌生人比较的defensive，vigilant，不喜欢与陌生人说话，因为别人会感觉uncomfortable。如果再问到一些问题的话，他们会consider it as a blatant intrusion upon one’s privacy。
2. What’s the difference between the way people shop before and now?
人们购物方式的不同。这个题目也很有可能在第三部分被问到。这个题目其实是一道有非常多可能答案的题目。比较直接的一种回答的切入点就是traditional shopping 和 online shopping的比较，通过现代科技的发展，引出了传统购物和网上购物的好处与坏处的对比。 另外一个切入点是人们购*商品的种类的区别;通过对不同时代环境的阐述，展开商品需求的区别。
3. Do you judge a person by the clothes he/she wears?
曾经有个别学生考过这个题目，这也是我认为在雅思Part 1里面算是相当有难度的一类题目。对于这个题而言，yes or no的答案已经不重要，重要的是理由是什么。如果说yes的话，考生可以根据人的职业，年龄等几个方面来展开答案。不同的人的衣着有什么区别;如果考生选择说no的话，那么考生可以说现在人们的衣着形式越来越广泛，所以我们无法从一个人的衣着来judge一个人怎样。另外，考生们可以引入另外一个观点就是’judge’,外国人不喜欢别人对其评头论足，这是国外的一种文化，考生们有兴趣的话可以去了解一下。
4. Why is breakfast important?
早餐的重要性。相信这个题目很多学生认为并不是非常的难，但是如果烤鸭们想要给出一个quality answer,那就有一定的难度了。这主要是因为这个题目最好的答案就是从biology入手，然后去探讨早上人体需要一天的能量，什么样的食物能够提供怎样的营养。然后如果可以的话，可以稍微的带一下中西方早餐的区别。
5. Is there any change in the household chores now?
这个题目是问学生现今社会家务活是否已经产生了变化。可能这种题目对于很多学生，如果没有经过好好的准备的话，可能会比较的难。这里主要建议考生从现代科技的发展与应用以及人们居住方式的变化入手，来探讨这个题目。很多传统的家务活已经被现代科技产品所代替，所以相对来说家务活变少了，同时考生可以提出来很多的现代科技产品的不足。同时，原来的住宅结构是庭院，而现在人们住的是楼房，所以这在一定程度上也决定了家务活的不同。
6. Does your family always treat you as a child?
这个题目相对来说，难度更高一些。考生们可以说是，然后分情况来具体的阐述。比如说每当要做一个重大决定的时候，都是父母来做，而不听取自己的意见。每次父母都会唠叨很多自己已经懂得的道理。很多事情父母都是主动替自己去做，比如说报考培训班，从来都不让自己去做，继而可以去探讨这样的好处与坏处。反过来，也可以说父母已经把自己当成成人了，很多事情自己就可以决定，这样能够培养独立能力等等。
7. What can you see outside your window?
这个题目考生可能看似很难，但是完全可以投机取巧，借助准备的第二部分的话题，比如说Describe a historical site; describe a restaurant or describe a library. 将这些建筑物写成自己家附近的景色即可。
8. What do you think is a good way to learn English?
可能很多学生认为这个题目很简单，有很多的思路。但是往往思路越多的时候，越是理不清，说起来很乱。基本上，考生们需要找到一条主线，然后顺着主线来讲。比如说形式：学习英语最好的方式就是通过看英文电影，听英文歌曲以及读英语文章。然后，这三个内容都是第二部分常考的话题，这时候考生就可以再次借助第二部分准备过的内容来back up你们的答案。同时，考生还可以加入其它内容，比如说获取这些内容的渠道以及什么时候去练习英文。
9. Do you think it is important to watch movie in the theatre?
这个问题相对来说还是有点难度，但是考生可以抓住这样两条主线，电影的种类以及价格。首先上来，先谈到对于那些对视听效果要求比较高的电影，比如说动作片，或者是恐怖片，电影院是最佳选择，但对于其他的爱情片或者说喜剧片，可能就没有太大的必要了。其次，可以引入价格的讨论，在网上看更加便宜。
