As far as I am concerned, I totally agree with this statement due to the following reasons.
Initially, I believe all living things have feelings and rights, not only the intelligent ones as human beings and animals but plants.
In addition, for animals, especially pets, you are the only thing they have in their whole lives. So it is human nature to take care of them and respect their feelings and rights regardless of their ages and appearances.

Animals are also entitled to the possession of their own lives.
Some animals are not as strong as others, so they need our TLC (tender loving care).
Animals are an essential part of the nature.
Animals are not human beings’ tools. They are beings not things.
