Is it easy for you to remember people’s names? / Do you often forget people’s names?

It depends. I can remember a name easily when the person is special or the name is funny. However, it’s quite difficult for me to remember foreign names, as I often don’t know how to pronounce it.

How do you remember people’s names?

When I enter a conversation actively seeking the other person’s name, I repeat the name to myself three times while looking at their face. Beyond the mental repetition, I also verbally mention this person’s name as often as naturally possible during the conversation.

How do you feel when people can’t remember your name?

I feel super bad. People are better at remembering things that they’re motivated to learn. If someone couldn’t even remember my name, she is not that interested in me.
