Many students only do one thing to prepare for writing task 2: they write lots of full essays. Although it's obviously important to practice writing full essays, there are other things you should do.很多学生在准备task 2的时候：他们就只会写文章。虽然写文章很重要，但是除了写文章还是有很多重要的事情要做的。

Here are some study ideas for writing task 2:以下是几点具体的建议：

1) Break the task into parts 分部分练习

Instead of writing a full essay today, why not try writing 5 different introductions using 2-sentence technique?与其天天写整篇文章，为什么不尝着写5段包含两种不同写作手法的小段落呢？
Or challenge yourself to write 3 different main-body paragraphs about "advantages" (e.g. advantages of mobile phones, homeschooling and immigration) to help you. 或者写三段关于好处的主段落呢？（例如你可以写*，在教育，迁移的好处）
Or write 5 different conclusions - just one sentence each, summarizing your response to 5 different questions.
或者写5段结论，一段就一句，总结五个问题的回答。

2) Do some research 多做调查

Instead of worrying about one particular question, try to find 10 recent exam questions.
不要担心某一个特定的问题，还是找找10近期考上的问题吧。
Write the questions on a piece of paper, decide what the general topic is for each one and do some research about those topics.
把这些问题都写到纸上，然后看看这些问题属于什么类别，再多做这方面的研究。
Don't worry about the exact question, just try to "collect" good ideas and vocabulary for the overall topic. A quick search on Google or Wikipedia should give you what you need.
不要担心某个具体的问题，你只要收集那些好的想法和词汇就可以了。在*和谷歌上就能快速搜索到。

3) What do you believe?你相信什么？

A big problem for some students is that they don't have well-formed opinions.
对于一些学生来说，一个大问题就是他们没有很好组织的观点。
They're not sure what to write about topics like homeschooling, immigration or gun control.
像在教育，迁移，控制*这些话题，他们根本不知道写什么。
The good news is that there is no 'correct' opinion - the examiner is only looking at how well you express your opinions in English. So, after doing some research (see point 2 above), make sure you have an opinion of your own.
好消息就是没有固定的正确观点，考官只会看你如何用英语表达观点。所以，做了这么多的研究，你就能找出你自己的观点了。
