Do Chinese people like to visit others homes?

It is quite rare for Chinese people to randomly visit others , homes, different from western cultures where people kindly pay a visit to their friends houses. We tend to do that during holidays when families reunite to celebrate Spring Festival or a birthday of a family member. Having said that, I am also sure that most people like visiting other people’s home, since we can gain more insight about them but we also understand that it would be rude to do so unless we’re invited.

What do people in your country do when they visit others?

It is common that we meet up with friends that we have not seen in a while at a time and place convenient for all. For example, we’d make plans for dinner or lunch and reserve a table at a restaurant. Catching up in this setting makes everyone happy, because the amazing food accompanied by a little bit of alcohol relives stress and helps everyone to loosen up. Well, it does not end there, though. After the meal, there are countless of things to do, like looking for a place to have more drinks or get a massage.

What kind of place do people in your country like to live in?

People like to settle in big cities, mainly because large metropolitan areas present more career opportunities and have way more interesting activities than what their *aller counterparts can offer. For example, in cities like Shanghai or Beijing, you’d always see many exhibitions and conferences to build more connection and look for business ideas; and you d always see the most fashionable and fascinating international shops opening for a totally different experience unseen elsewhere.

What’s the difference between homes in cities and those in the countryside?

Homes in cities are generally condominium or apartment units in a high-rise building, whereas those in the countryside are single detached houses that are much more spacious. But the most striking difference has to lie within the price tag. City homes are priced much higher than homes on the outskirts, this is because the land that these homes are built on are valued differently on the price spectrum. Also from what I know, the city homes confer a lot more benefits for residents than rural homes do, including rights to go to good schools and an opportunity to apply for low-interest mortgage.
