The activity I would like to talk about that I do alone in my free time is hiking in the mountains in my hometown.

Well, I first began to do this activity in my university days. Back then, I was so into doing exercise after class because I think doing exercise can help me keep fit. Until now, I have been doing this for more than ten years. And every weekend, I would like to go to the mountains with some of my friends. It usually takes us a whole day to climb to the top of a mountain. Before we go, we prepare a lot of things for our journey. For example, some snacks, some bottles of water, and most important of all, I need to put on my sportswear and a pair of comfortable shoes in order to prevent me from getting injured. There is another reason that I would like to do this in my hometown, which is that my hometown is famous for the steep and spectacular rock mountains in the south.

For my feelings of climbing mountains, I think I am deeply attracted by the sense of achievement and the feeling of conquering when I stand on the mountaintop and enjoy the overview of the whole city. That feels terrific. Also, this activity can release my pressure, strengthen my muscles and brighten my mood. I have met a lot of friends who have the same interest as me as well.
